I have to agree, they really don't last long at all in an xbox360 remote which is what I bought them for. I've switched to using other batteries for this.

They are definitely at the price they're at for a reason, but woot is giving you the deal.

To all the gamers, I know it seems difficult, but turn off the vibration when the controller warns you it's dying, and you'll get another good hour+ of gaming. Or turn it off altogether, and they have no issue.

I didn't even realize they weren't alkaline though...haha.

Standard alkaline batteries will last a lot longer even in low-draw devices than these batteries. And alkaline batteries have an order of magnitude longer shelf life. So what batteries are these extra long life compared to?

As bad as these are, the longer nobody buys any, the longer we'll have to stare at them.

Capacity, not strength.

Very misleading description. Usually when you describe a battery as long life and mention their capacity (900mah), you are referring to rechargeable batteries. These don't appear to be rechargeable

Got these on the last woot off... VERY VERY short life on these... Hard to think of a good use for them.

but fire alarms dont take AA batteries they take 9 volts :p

I found out about mAh after i bout to packs of these batteries. Just as others have posted I found out fast that these are only good for remote controls. Every other form of portable modern day tech will drain these in under a hour

Note that the expiration date is 10/2014. You WILL use ALL well before then.

"Heavy Duty" and/or "Long Life" batteries are almost always referring to Zinc-Carbon batteries. It's confusing, but that confusion occurred (for me, at least) long before this Woot! post.
