AC power only. The cord is detachable and fits in a little compartment by the pump.

I'll use the 180 batteries I just bought to inflate it!!!!

battery operated looks like, so that is a very good plus for remote camping.

Got one of these last time.. Inflates fast and is actually pretty comfy. Worth the 25 bucks.

PS no battery inflation AC only. Has a remote so if it gets a little soft at night you can pump it back up with the touch of a button.
