Wow, really? A camera that takes pictures. Imagine that...

I bought this from wal-mart for $80 and i got a 10% discount.

Decent price according to a quick google search, and with decent reviews. If I hadn't bought my sister a camera the other day, I probably would have gotten this one for her.

I carry my cell and my SLR when shooting pics, but if I am taking a photo with someone and asking someone to take a photo for me, I'd rather hand them this cheapie than my $600 phone or my similarly priced SLR in case they break it or run off with it.

Bought the same camera coolpix)only it is 16MP about 3 months ago for $99. Not so Hot!

Amazon reviews are pretty split on this camera... doesn't show up on Newegg.

Those that had problems, cite the LCD screen developing what sounds like dead pixels.

$169.00 at walmart and $99.95 at amazon (outsourced from some camera site called Samys)...

The problem that I've had with these little point and shoots is that the sensors decline in functionality over time and the lenses are easily misaligned from folding in and out over time.

The photos they take at first are decent, but after a few months of use (no dropping, getting wet, etc) the photos don't come out as crisp or clear as they were when the camera was new.

Prices for this woot-off seem really unusually bad.

But then I've always been cheerful just after 3 a.m.

Nikon usually makes good cameras. I have the digital SLR and film SLR and love them. Would prefer better zoom capabilities though.

i said unless its a slr no one carrys two. plus who would u be giving a camera to hold? i trust friends with my cameras and better to get best quality then lack n have to carry three. maybe if carried in car. but these days less is more n cell phones go 8mp n over and hd so good enough for cheap shots then slr for quality pics.

Bought 2 Nikon Cool Pix, first one was great, had it 6 years, then I replaced with a modern version... took better pictures but the quality was far from the first. The new one often goes nuts, opening and closing the lens, alerting me to low power but the battery is charged, if I remove the battery and put it back in the problem is solved.

There was one near the start yesterday, though it looked like they had a problem on their end as they only sold 1.

It occurred again sometime this morning 11:30ish am PST.
