I'll be taking a few days to delight my wife by taking her for her favorite form of vacation - a trip through the outlets of Reading and Lancaster PA.

When the lady's happy, everybody's happy.

I already live at a sunny beach place, so I'll whip up a fruity drink and take a "staycation".

The closest I'm getting to a vacation this summer is spending 4 days at Origins Gaming Convention in my hometown trying to not stalk Wil Wheaton and Felicia Day.

Take a long weekend to go camping/whatever else they're planning with the in-laws. No sympathy, please. They're cool.

They're using it as something of a one-last-big-trip-before-all-the-kids-have-crazy-ridiculous-lives-where-they-will-not-get-back-together-all-at-once-unless-someone-dies trip.

If visiting the in-laws in a tiny Turkish village can be considered Europe then, yeah that. It's overdue but I'm not excited.

We're going to be going to the KC Maker Faire, the Detroit Maker Faire, and the Maker Faire in Chicago this summer ... racing modified power wheels race cars!! That's a vacation for us!

Plus we will be checking out the latest in 3D printing and maybe will be showing off our hand built 3D printer at one or more of the Maker Faires.

We'll be going with our family, along with members of our local hackerspace. 8-)

Going to manage to hit the local Drive In Theaters this summer with friends. (Yes...they still do exist. Woo hoo!)

I'm going to Dublin! Dublin, Tx, that is. Have you had their Dr. Pepper made with real cane sugar? It's lovely and totally worth the 7 hour drive.

Heading to the cabin. Sandbar, wakeboarding, dirt track racing a few miles down the road. Why go elsewhere?

Did you not hear that it is no longer Dublin Dr. Pepper? There was a big deal about it and the Dublin Bottling company is no longer allowed to make it.

Dinosaur Valley State Park is still there, and there is also Fossil Rim Wildlife Center.

If you are a fan of Canoeing or tubing, you can always go down the Brazos. I always use Rhodes Canoe Rental, Highway 67 E, Glen Rose, TX 76043,(254) 897-4214. It's pretty fun.

I will be visiting home in June and July. Both require me to purchase a flight from KC, or wherever work will be taking me, then consuming my parents food and napping with my dog.

I do plan on taking a real vacation from Christmas through New Years though. I'm hoping for London, but my girlfriend wants Paris...

There are far too many things that I want to pay off or purchase (read as save for) to justify spend money on a hotel and flights.

Just got back from Europe so I'm good for a while. Doing Disney in September so I guess that counts.

Japan! Going to visit my wife's family and friends.

Alaska! I'm vising Juneau this summer, and super excited.

Has anyone ever been there, or have some suggestions for me?

This summer my family is going to Costa Rica! I'm so excited! It's been 6ish years since the last time we went. It's gonna be great! Now that my brother and I are both married, we get to bring our new spouses to show them our great country! This will kind of be a last big trip with my parents and my brother and his wife before we all start having kids and stuff. I'm so excited!

First we are going to the rain forest and the Arenal volcano so that they can go do a Canopy and Zipline tour. Then we will go to the hot springs that are heated by the volcano!


After the volcano, it is on to the beach and an all inclusive resort! I love the beach! It's great! The howler monkeys in the trees all around your rooms, the iguanas, the raccoons, the birds. It's beautiful! And to lay in a hammock and listen to the sounds of the waves...OH MAN! I can't wait!

I'm graduating college, going to Florida with the family, then heading to a mountainside cabin Upstate New York with my buddies for a week or so. Should be amazing.

Have fun in The Dells. Make some time for yourself and visit the casino while you're there.

Off to Prague in early June. A little side trip to Vienna for a couple of days. Might have to take in some theater.

Going on the first vacation since 2008 this year. We are renting a car (by choice) and driving from Texas to California with fun stops in between. We will enjoy the mountains of Sierra City and the food, etc. of San Francisco. As a small business owner, I can tell everyone that the economy is turning around. Two years ago we were barely making it and almost lost our business. Now we have more work than we can handle and may need to hire someone in the near future just to keep up with possibly more expansion coming soon. Keep your chins up.

Road trip to Sioux Falls next month, which is not really a vacation, and then a two week trip to Kenya this September that is!!!

Just started a new job! No vacation for me this year, but got a check for 380 hours worth from previous employer. Woot!

Caribbean Cruise FTW!

We did a cruise in February, beach next weekend, and I think we're going to DC sometime over the summer. Oh, and the in-laws usually come up for a visit during the summer, too, so that'll be more beach.

Going on a cruise from Ft Lauderdale for 11 days to such places as Aruba. Counting down the days.
