How long does the battery retain a charge when unused? It's going to be rather pointless if you leave these sitting in the glove box for 6 months and they're dead when you need them.

3 Lumens

Also, These are very handy if you live in an area that could experience longer power outages. In my case Hurricanes but it could be any natural disaster. (The Zombie Apocalypse is not a Natural Disaster but will be the result of Bunnies Ogling Carrots that went critical)

My boy is turning 7 next month and he loves flashlights. I'm planning on getting him a giant box filled with bubble wrap and flashlights. Oh, and a nerf gun or two.

I like my signature.

katfox wrote:I love these flashlights. I paid $7.19 a piece at Target for two of these in different colors. They're perfect for my 2 year-old daughter, who takes them to bed and plays in the yard after dark with them.

They're perfect for a kid, as the controls are easy and they shut themselves off after a length of time.

Love that auto turn off feature! My five year old loves flashlights and she always burns out the batteries leaving them on ALL NIGHT LONG. I also picked up a car charger wall converter from amazon so I can charge the things in a regular wall outlet in the house.

My 6 flashlights were delivered on May 1, but only half of them work out of the box. Haven't had a chance to charge them yet, but these are supposed to have non-rechargeable batteries in addition to rechargeable batteries, right?

I'm having charging issues as well. I bought three sets and have not been impressed by the ability to hold a charge as only one so far has been able to be used outside of a 12v socket.
