This exceeded my expectations by far. So much so I bought a second one for our upstairs. This is worth every penny

Bought several of these on a previous woot. Works fine with my iPod classic, even though it wasn't on the supported list.

Will this work with my Visio pad ..... that I bought here on Woot?

This thing doesn't work half of the time. I would stay away.

Sound is very good. I bought 2 last time.

I bought one of these last Woot off and I love it. I almost never use the speaker part, but its great to put my iPad in at night, turn on NightStand, and wake up with a charged iPad and knowing the time. Well worth it, just for the charging.

Sweet just got an ipad. This'll be great!

I got this from woot the last time they were offered. This thing charges my iPad pretty fast (I think they offer a full 2 amp for charging). They are ios device only (because they only have a 30 pin dock connector).

Works with iPad 3 but if you use any case that adds bulk near the bottom it won't work.

I had my iPad 3 naked for a while and there were no issues, but now that I have a rubber bumper iPad case the connectors don't reach the port.

I don't see anything about audio or video out, so what exactly makes this a dock? Seems a lot more like cheap iPod/iPhone/iPad speakers to me.

I bought 3 and gave two away. It's good for charging the iPad but don't bother with charging the iPhone unless you're willing to remove your case every time as it will not make contact and charge with even a thin case on the phone.

I also disagree that the sound is good as the speaker sits directly behind the docked iPad and gets somewhat muffled because of that. Additionally, the docked iPad is too vertical for my taste and would be more usable at more of an angle.

The good news it that this does the job as an iPad charger and is worth the $ for that alone in my opinion. Enjoy!

My girlfriend has an iPad 2 with the clear hard plastic clear case and it didn't fit with it on.

I'm in for one, making this my first ever wootoff purchase. All of your glowing feedback over the dock swayed me... and I'm sure none of you people of high moral fiber would mislead me, would you? WOULD YOU?!

It will NOT dock and charge with a cover.

Bought two of these in a previous Woot offering. They work well on gen 4 iPods. Event a pretty thin case on the iPod will prevent a connection. You can get a RadTech ProCable Shortz Dock Extender to get a long enough plug so that your iPod/iPad/iPhone will worth with this, but you lose some support from the back of the docking station for the device (and it looks a little ridiculous).

Got one of these (a return) in my last Bunnies Ogling Carrots . We have to remove the Ipad cover to get the connector to dock properly. Otherwise, the Ipad2 fits well, although I get a but nevous about the thing tipping if it gets bumped and then breaking the connector. So far, so good though. Sound is not audiophile, but much better than the internal speaker.

It works great with my iPad2 but I have to take the silicone cover off. The speaker is good for the price and the charger is great. When I read at my desk or at the kitchen table it is at a good angle and keeps me from having to hold it or prop it on something.

I bought two and one of them didn't have the rubber bumper for the iphone, but it stll works for both. It is kind of a pain to take them out of their silicones, though.

You could just buy a iPod / iPad Dock Extender Cable from eBay so that it will fit your encased iDevice.

Come on you isheep, buy 3 of these so we can get on to the next item.

Thanks. Good tip. I think this is a good charger and that's about it.

I bought one of these the last time around. Speakers are pretty aromatic, but are an improvement over the built-in iPad speakers and ok for background music. Worth it just for the fast Pad charger. Doesn't work with even a thin silicone skin, but as someone else noted you can buy a dock extender - search on eBay and you can find one for less than 5 bucks.
