What is up with all the lumbar packs?????

for a fanny pack, it doesn't look too bad. It'll make my ass look big, though.

This bag is far from filled with crap! It, does, however look like I would trust it to hold mine.

I know I have a big butt, but I really don't think I have enough room for all these fanny packs on my fanny!

Can you imagine wearing this, always hearing muffled laughs nearby?

thinking these might be good for motorcycle trips. Easier on your shoulders than a backpack.

You can slip your arms in and wear it like a backpack I suppose, if you're like 3 feet tall.

These are awesome. Just snagged one for my brother for his birthday.

Now I just need to wait until December to give it to him. =P

I'd be more concerned "why does that many have so many fanny packs..?"

This is a lot more than a fanny pack. I bought one 13 years ago and I love it. I have the "Day" size. My wife has the "Tour" size which is bigger. It's perfect for day hikes and is also a perfect carry on. Even file folders fit in the large pocket of the day pack. A notebook PC might fit in the Tour pack.

FWIW, that's the "Day Lumbar Pack" which is about twice the size of this one: the "Tour Lumbar Pack."

While I'm writing, I have a Mountainsmith fanny pack (not this model, but a smaller one) and it's a very nice pack. Well designed and constructed, I've been very happy with mine.

Really good deal on a solid pack. Mountainsmith is a great brand that makes quality gear. Their gear is on the expensive side (I think retail for this would be around $70, you'd probably regularly get it for $50-$55) so this is a good deal for this pack.

I have a couple of friends who have this pack, love it and use it regularly. It's not really my style, I'm a backpack person, or I would be in for at least one.
