Half the people in my family have May birthdays. And a bunch of my friends. So, Happy Birthday all you May Wooters. The best part of May is that nearly all of the Snow Birds are gone and we can have our town/restaurants/golf courses back. The summer is rough on the merchants, but it is great for the rest of us.

It's usually a pretty nice month for weather. Not too warm, not too cold. Lots of birds in the trees, not too rainy. One of the more enjoyable months. Usually. The first week of May in Iowa this year is 80s and muggy. Boo.
There is nothing good about May. That is of course unless you like humidity, sweating, wasp stings, mosquitoes, hornet stings, sunburn, high energy bills because of AC, bee stings, flies in your food, ants in your kitchen, spider bites, angry dogs, and suburban white people going on vacation in their mini vans...

Ponder this: April, May, June, Summer, and Autumn are all traditional girls names. Why don't we name anyone for cold, bitter months (in the northern hemisphere)? Why don't we name any boys after months (ironic, since some months are named after men)? What ever happened to Peekaboo Street, anyway?
May usually marks the beginning of Triathlon season and this year is no different. I race this weekend at Wildflower in California, then three weeks later in Auburn. Two weeks after that I race in Hawaii. After six months of training, it is finally time to put it all to use and see what I can accomplish
May is the best month of the year, period. I visit Disney World for 10 days every single year at the end of May. It helps cancel out the fact that the end of May is also my birthday, and I'm old enough to resent it. Maybe that's why I go at this time of year. Nothing makes you feel better about turning mumblecough30something than spending your birthday wearing a pair of ears and riding the Cinderella carousel. It's like: procreate you, birthday! You can make me older, but you can't take away my mouse ears. procreate youuuuuuu!

What day's your birthday? Mine is May 30th. The day I was born, it was Memorial Day, and I don't think it ever has been since. I feel this is only fair because my little sister was born on Easter Sunday, April 15th, and that day hasn't been Easter again since then either.
Absolutely nothing. I despise all months that bring warm(er) weather and the return of Geckos crawling everywhere.
