Good reviews over at Amazon. Price is the best I found online, too.

I wonder if this is upgradeable to Andriod 4.0 ICS.

Chi. Yes, I want you to do something for me. I want you to go in my room, look over my suits, in the ceiling, up on the ceiling you'll see a key stuck there. I want you to take it down and bring it to me. Meet me at the Total Experience in one halfa hour. Can you dig it?

I posted a deal on the XOOM 32mg refurb about a month ago from 1saleaday for $329. Woot's got it beat.
Edit: That $329 was for new tablet. My bad.

I believe ICS was made available as of January - in fact confirmed at http://androidcommunity.com/motorola-xoom-wifi-android-4-0-ics-update-officially-rolling-out-today-20120118/

You can upgrade these to ICS 4.0. I own the 4G version, and have been running it for several months now.

Grab a Wi-Fi Team EOS ROM off xda-developers, and you're off and running.

Oh btw we run ICS 4.0 on this and it works flawlessly

I bought one of these last time they were offered, and I love it! They can almost, but not quite, entirely replace a laptop. For entertainment they are awesome, I find I use youtube and netflix a lot more than I ever thought I would. The upgrade to ICS was easy, and after some getting used to it was well worth it due to the extra features, particularly the task manager. I got a motorola bluetooth keyboard from Walmart for $45 (don't bother with the $25 cheapies from Frys - they suck), and it really has almost completely replaced my laptop. I also put an Otterbox Defender on it. Expensive case, but solid and though I've dropped it a few times no problems.

The one thing that is irksome is that the volume buttons are too small, and harder to manipulate than they should be. The Otterbox makes it a bit easier to get to them, but even so, making them bigger or larger would have made this thing nearly perfect in my opinion.

Processor speed rocks, and with a 32G external SD card I've been able to load mine up with movies for long trips (using handbrake to convert). Battery life has been a solid eight hours with continuous use, and 20 minutes in a charger will do about 40% charge from nearly dead. A bit over an hour to fully charge. And, I understand the battery is replaceable when it finally stops holding a charge. Don't think the ipad is designed for that.

My power supply went bad a few weeks after I got the last one, and Motorola send me a new one with no questions asked, took three days.

Awesome unit, suhweet deal. I just now bought another one.

For another 50 Smackers you can have a Refurbed iPad Deuce. Does anyone have both and have an opinion as far as which one is the One Tablet to Rule Them All?

I got one the last time they offered it and totally love the thing. It's updated to ICS and it was an over the air update, all I did was check for system updates and there it was. Battery lasts all day streaming video, Netflix works perfectly on it as does streaming most anything.
I'm not sure any tablet is ready to replace a laptop but playing Angry Birds on a 10" tablet sure beats playing it on your phone. The display is great on it.

4.0.3 ICS, is available as an Over The Air(OTA) update. No need to go to XDA. It is AUTOMATIC.

I had one till this week. EXCELLENT tablet.

Having bought the Vizio Tablet (8")/Folio/HDMI cable a few weeks ago for about half this price, my wife's been coveting it. I've been looking out for another tablet, either to "upgrade" myself, or get one for her. When I saw this, I muttered "oh, Noooooooo", then had to explain. Turns out, she's buying this for *me* as a birthday present, with the expectation that she inherits my Vizio... I'm OK with this! What a wonderful wife...

Ah but it is. I bought mine last month from Newegg for 329.99 as a refurb. It looks brand new. You will not be able to tell it was refurbed unless you look on the back where Refurbished is silkscreened onto the case. This is as fast as an iPad 2 for $200 less with a higher density display.

I don't know where you shop but I can find iPad 2 32gb refurbs for $400.

It's courtesy to provide a link (and actually link it), but since they actually charge $330, I guess you're off the hook.

They perform about the same. When you consider the Xoom has expandable memory, can display full 720p, will run flash, and you can wifi tether it for easy file transfers. I think it beats the iPad2 handily.

I bought two on Woot last fall, one for my son and one for me, and we've both been very happy with them ... I'm running android 4.04 on mine right now.

I use mine for sheet music and ebooks mostly ... but I picked up a home inventory app that seems pretty useful. And of course I do stuff like FB and email on it, but I can do that stuff on my phone also. And Woot, of course (I'm typing on it right now) ...

A really good tablet,, especially at this price (I paid $350)!

Sure, you don't NEED to, but you miss out on things like gpu overclock, and a bunch of little things that make the user experience nice like being able to hide the status bar, etc.

Yeah, this kind of gets me thinking. The Xoom is $100 less, but down the road a year or two, I can probably sell a used iPad for $100 more, so in the end, price is somewhere around a wash. So it comes down to which machine to buy on hardware/software interface merit, not really price. Curious as to thoughts from someone who has played around with this and an IP2 both...which to buy if price over the long haul were roughly equal?
