RIP Maurice Sendak. Enjoy the wild things! The NY Times agrees with me. This was the best interview in the history of interviews. Ever. Two 7 minute interviews. You need to watch to the very end. Last 10 seconds of part two was priceless! The Times put part two up first, but the link for both parts are in the article. I know 15 minutes on the internet is forever, but it is worth it! BEST INTERVIEW EVER! http://artsbeat.blogs.nytimes.com/2012/05/08/on-e-books-and-stephen-colbert-a-few-words-with-sendak/
I know my blog has been on hiatus while I try to balance work, kids, Orc working, and sleep, but here is an older article that Orcrist wrote about Tolkien, Sendack, and scaring kids. Enjoy!
There's also a neat discussion going on over on deals if you'd like to join in!
Colbert added more of the interview. Should be on his website today. Sadder stuff than what he put in the interview. More like the NPR interviews that I found attached to one of the links. Well a little funny at the end.
