These baluns are great. I get exactly the same picture quality on hundreds of feet of Cat5e cable with these baluns, and it's cheaper than the coax, no termination needed.

Im am Not Staff.....But to answer your Questions.

YES YES YES YES
I know someone who has done this with this Model. (She uses it to record Cable TV via RCA Composite Inputs)
THIS CAN BE DONE (In CAse you Want to record from Other Sources (other than the Cameras.) If you Do this you should change the Setting to 720 (in the Video Settings) So you can Get a Could Quality video recorded unto the Harddrive.

You Have to GO into the Setting and Change the Name to Black Spaces

You Can Also Connect 4 Different Video Sources and View all of them Simultaneously. Example you can Record or Monitor with 3 Cameras and Have One watching you Favorite DVD or Cable TV.

This ne is the Same Model DVR and Cameras also (Except that they included a 500Gb Hardrive for you).

Well, the Zmodo system I have uses some feature of IE and does not work with firefox. I don't recall the details, but it sucks.

I got mine about 1 year ago.

Did you look at the manual yet?

I tried to purchase 2 but upon submission it started to hang. Eventually it came up but it stated that I only ordered 1. I emailed right away but apparently they only work Monday - Friday. Did this happen to anyone else and did woot correct it?

Very disappointed...the box arrived soaking wet. Some water stains found on the inner boxes as well. Anyone else with the same problem?

Very disapoinred with this product. Should have spent the extra $100 to get a better system. I've installed several CCTV systems...I hate myself for being so cheap and buying this system. The wires are very fragile...do not pull,even slightly just lay them in place. I handled them very carefully but still had several breaks per cable. I've installed several systems and have never had a wire break on installation. Night vision is a joke.....not even 30' has advertised. Also very choppy on remote viewing, delayed,and slightly blurred. I checked Woor's return policy..."only for defective products, not ones you are not happy with..........well I guess this comment will never see the light of day......DO NO T BUY!!!

The default setting is to record constantly and what good would it be if someone could just walk by and press stop.... The menu can be accessed using the remote or the menu and arrow buttons on the front of the device. Do you have it connected to a display device?

No it does not say that. If you can afford a peanut-butter jelly time you can afford a better security system too. It works fine, even for us poor PC people.

I bought this system from woot and it states it comes with 500GB hard drive - but I can't record - does this system come with a 500GB hard drive?

I installed this Zmodo system at home a couple of weeks ago with no problem. The recorder is pretty easy to setup. Playback is easy. The hardest part is running the wires through your house.

I found an app for my iphone to see the live view, it's called ASee+ and it's free.

I want to hook the recorder up to my TV, but my unit only has VGA out, so I purchased a VGA to HDMI converter from Amazon for $35 (it's not just cables, it converts the video stream otherwise it won't work).

Below are two images from my iPhone using the ASee+ app. The first is live during the day, the second is at night. I purchased an IR flood light for the front yard from Amazon, that cost $65. The quality is better when viewing directly on the recorder.

Worst system ever, definitely a waste of money. Weatherproof my behind...I have two of the four cameras outdoors and they already went down...it's only been FOUR months.
