In Japanese 'Roku' is the number '6'...and XD is the shorthand for big laugh...so I see 'Roku XD' and think '6! hahahah!' *eyeroll*

Also, if you get the 'purple screen, you simply unplug the TV, not the ROKU, and it will reset the connection

So this thing just fine tunes in the radio frequency AM1080 and makes it HD? That station sucks in my town, definitely not getting one.

I too have felt that south-endedness. We are victims of our capitalist-consumerist culture.

ya there have been a lot of rokus, but this has been a pretty good woot-off so far. when i graduate and then maybe(hopefully) get a real job, i should just fwd my first paycheck to woot so i can buy all the things!

The Roku I got only worked well for a couple months. Now I have to mess with the HDMI cable connection to get a picture. Love it when it is working though. Maybe mine got banged around during transport or something.
