I've had one of these for about a year now and it works fine. Not for video gaming, but, a nice second TV.

Hrmn, close to getting this for my bedroom until I read in an amazon review "After powering up this television, I was shocked to discover it has an eye piercing, illuminated "VIZIO" nameplate right below screen" :-(

I don't think so.

If you want those features, just get a Roku or something similar. Most TV apps suck anyways.

Duct tape takes care of that...

I have the 120 HZ version of this TV. Had sound problems which seems to be a problem with Vizo. They have a fix for it on a USB they will send you if you bought the TV new. If its a refurb your out of luck. They dont support it.

Thinking about getting this for my bedroom ceiling. When you get old like me, a mirror doesn't work for you anymore. I figure I could hook up a feed to the internet for it... because we all know what the internet is for.

I have a Vizio in my bedroom. Yes, it's nameplate is there. Someone, in the forums during a earlier woot-off, said you can turn it off. Anyone know how? It's a great TV but that unwanted nightlight is annoying as hell..

So one of my favorite threads recently was one over on shirt where the poster complained about the ordering on Woot. The thread evolved into a series of fun posts and GIFs over the next few weeks. The original poster even checked back in a time or two.

So, my challenge to you as we try to keep awake through this woot-off, is to add gifs to your post to embellish them.

Let's have some fun!

If this was new the price would be ok, but a refurb at this price isn't a steal. You can buy low end 40" 1080p LCD's all day for $299. If someone is considering a bottom of the line Vizio any off brand would work. I have owned LCD's and Plasma's from about every brand out there, and the cheapo ones always work as well as the better brand names. I am not knocking Vizio, in fact I have a 50" PLasma from them in my living room right now. It's just that if someone is looking at their low end models they can probably do as well with any brand they find cheap.

Duct tape?

actually, a small piece of black electricians tape cut to size will work better and look more attractive.

I've read that thread, hilarious. It's a shame the OP never got to order the shirt though. One of the best threads ever.

Are the comedy clips ok with the powers that be as well?

Oh sure. I usually let the thread be for the first 10 minutes or so for product discussion. Then hey, we're all here for however long it takes. We're more liberal during woot-offs.
