The "I Want One" button is throbbing.

Is that the new version of the button getting bouncy?

... yep.

Am I the only one who sees the throbbing button with the black edges? Do other people have a see-through tint or something?

Hmmm, that's not supposed to be happening. Would you mind clicking the "beta feedback" button top right near your username? We would appreciate it greatly.

I haven't seen that and I'm regularly using FireFox, Chrome, and IE at the same time.

Couple things to try:

Clear out the browser's temp/cache files

Close down the browser and restart it.

If this doesn't solve it, please let us know and give some specific info like what browser and version, operating system, etc.

I am seeing this same thing. I am using IE 8. I know for sure it wasn't doing this when I checked the site this morning. Also, I clicked on the "I want one" button and the "buy now" button is doing the same thing.

ROFL. I told them during the early tests that people would say it was throbbing. Sigh.

Is it throbbing because the deal is about to run out of time?

Yeah, what do you think? I think it works. It'll be interesting to see some of the other shortened names if we come up with some interesting ones.

Sorry, don't like that aspect.

I also don't like that it doesn't specify what time a message was posted.

Almost had a heart attack after buying a Toshiba laptop for $399 YESTERDAY. However, after looking at the specs, I'm much happier. Mine's new instead of refurb, it's got a 2.3gHz processor and a 640GB hard drive. I can live with the $100 difference for that, I can't imagine going back to a processor this slow now, and I'm not even a gamer.

I was seeing a lot of new laptops over the weekend that had more power than this one for less money with all the Memorial Day weekend sales. But then, I'm a big comparison shopper, especially when it's something I'm investing hundreds of dollars in.

Could you put that in the BETA FEEDBACK, please? They really want feedback. Lots and lots of feedback. They're trying to scan the forums to but people are posting in soooo many places it hard to catch everything.

jQuery animations on transparent pngs often get hosed this way in IE7 and IE8, especially if opacity or color are animating. I had it happen once just animating the X position on the screen, too. I'm not sure if it's jQuery only or all animations on transparent pngs in early IE versions, but I have seen this before a bunch of times.

Woot, if it's always going to be on a white background try the same with no alpha channel and a white background instead, that should clear it right up. There is also a fix using filters that should work:

Horrible Throbbing Glaring Yellow "buy" button ... is horrible

If the design goals were to weed out the newbies and chase them away ...
well done

On the other hand, if the design goals were to make the page more appealing, or more informative ..
I'd have to say ... -that is not what you've accomplished- ... sorry.

a perfect day to have a great day on purpose...
or because the store clerk told you to...
