Got these a while ago from a previous woot. Great for the price, but definitely a summer bag, too thin for any serious cold weather camping. Can't beat the price, and always fun to zip them up together to form sleeping bag voltron!

I'm no camping expert but, why would you want a mummy-style sleeping bag that's only good down to 50º? It's 50º out, do you really need to have your head covered when you sleep in what I would consider, "pretty darn nice weather"?

I'm afraid of the 'mummy-style' sleeping bags, I'm always afraid I'll mummify myself!

860 grams = 1.89 pounds total weight...maybe 1.5 pounds of filling?

Deals.woot has a similar deal but in a different color for those who don't like this style.

I would be all over this deal. But I sweat at 50 degrees and would die if I enclosed myself in a bag on a summer night.

well, to use for more winter temperatures couldn't you just double up the two sleeping bags, then you have double the insulation... lol.

Why are these not on Sport.Woot? Because it's a two-fer?

Local camping place has these for $17 each. Their site says it makes a good bag liner for colder weather, and that two can zipped together for those nights when you want to get _more_ snugly.

So could you nest these and make a sleeping bag for colder weather?

Wooted the heck out of that woot! Holy crap what a great holiday present for my boys who are growing and may pass up their 6'5" father. Affordable, useful, and if they don't use them... Well zip'em up baby!

Got 3 pairs in a previous woot. Good deal for $11 each. Great for scout troops and those kids that can't afford one ahead of time.

It will do in a pinch but it isn't for much below 40 degrees. More for cooler weather backyard camping or one overnight day trips. And kids.

The zip together feature is handy and fun.

Sure. But with one being a right-hand zip and the other a left- hand zip you may not be able to get out of your bag quickly for those nightly 'recycling' runs.

I have a feeling that my wife will use one of these as a body bag when she kills me for too much wooting!

Perfect timing! My husband and I have been trying to find super cheap bags for weeks but haven't seen anything that would work for us. Since we camp exclusively on the Southern California coast, these bags will be perfect year-round. At this price I won't even be mad if our dogs destroy them on a camping trip.

I just hope they arrive before Labor Day. Hint hint, Woot. Hint freaking hint.

1> They fit in the kayak hatch and work when wet.

2> They are cheap to loan to your new friend drunk friend.

3> Zip together for your new girlfriend you just met at that rave.

4> Get some spares for the RV.

5> Two of them fit in the front loader at the laundry mat after Burningman.

6> They are also useful to keep the bedbugs out at that budget hotel you just booked on that website.

It depends on whether you enter the bag head first or feet It's SUMMER!

I remember from a backpacking course in a college P.E. class where it was recommended to get sleeping bags designed with sewing seams that are horizontal to prevent any filling inside from sliding all the way down to one end or the other. Sometimes I've seen these referred to as horizontal baffles or baffling (or sections) with multiple sections or baffles running the length of the sleeping bag. If the sewing seams are vertical or running in the direction of the length of the sleeping bag, then obviously the filling inside the bag for insulation can slide down to either end instead of being equally distributed.

For anyone who has bought or seen these before or if you see any photos where you can see the sewing seams, can you tell if these have multiple horizontal seams across the width of the sleeping bag spaced approx. 1-2 feet apart???

Since they're not refurbished I wooted for these. Nothing like being cuddled by a warm 'mummy' at night.

Looks like these lightweight sleeping bags would be good for weekend backpacking trips during warm temperatures or seasons.

This + emergency mylar blanket (10 for $7.95) = At least 40° sleeping bag?
