I Stand With Big Blu-ray

Look, this HP 17" Dual-Core Notebook has paid its debt to society. Isn't it allowed to earn a living now?

Oh, sure, there are lots of holier-than-thou commentators out there saying that what the HP 17" Dual-Core Notebook was accused of doing is "unforgivable". I'd like to remind those goody-goodies of a fundamental truth of our legal system: pleading no contest to a lesser charge is NOT the same thing as admitting guilt to the original charge.

What you people don't understand is, the HP 17" Dual-Core Notebook is really, really good at being a computer. Why should laptop fans be denied its Blu-ray drive, 6GB DDR memory, 500GB hard drive, and USB 3.0 capability? Just because of a simple mistake that any one of us could have made, if we just so happened to find ourselves in the wrong situation with the wrong people and completely lacked any sense of conscience or empathy? Are we really any better than the HP 17" Dual-Core Notebook? I know I'm not.

The fact is, none of us will ever know what really happened on that night all those weeks ago. We've got the accused's word on one side and the accuser's word, the physical evidence, the eyewitness accounts, and the security camera footage on the other. There's simply no way to decide which is the so-called "truth". The HP 17" Dual-Core Notebook wants to move on. Will you let it? The accuser has already suffered enough - must the accused suffer as well?
