Restaurant Review: Fuds

by skemmis

Lucky residents of Park Slope, Brooklyn were handed real, physical menus for a cool new restaurant this weekend.

I was lucky enough to experience a special food-critic pre-opening meal at Fuds. My full review will be published in Bon Appetit next month, but here are some excerpts:

For fear of spoiling my palate for the sublte Greeko-Japo flavors, I started with a 24 oz plain alcohol. It was dry - certainly not cloying like so many P.A.'s these days - and refreshing. I was ready for seconds but our first round of assistants were already on the table...

...The panty slaw managed to skate the line between laciness and crispness that really showcased the chef's knowledge of sashimi-grade panties...

...I was disappointed by the mushed malonies, although they were compentently prepared. I'm spoiled by the malonies my dead mother used to make, and nothing can really live up...

...The Pocaloquitos-style meat saucers lived up to their billing and were nearly unchewable...

...The brothers Mizretti greeted me at the end of the meal and graciously cleared my table. "Bye Bye" they called as they returned to their hrak broiler.

Anything you'd particularly like to try at Fuds? Anything you wish they offered?
