Kids These Days
I swear. Sometimes I look at my kid with his Samsung Galaxy Note tablet and I think, "Man. You never would have made it if you had been born when I was born."
You should have seen the look on his face when he first saw the Revolutionary S Pen. He was so confused. First he tried picking his teeth with it. Then I caught him trying to use it like a chopstick. When I explained to him that a pen was something that people used to use to write handwritten notes, it was like I was speaking another language.
I know what you're thinking. And no, he's not a moron. He's actually a pretty smart kid. He's always reading the books he bought with the preloaded Barnes and Noble Nook widget. And I'm always amazed by his creativity when he's editing photos or designing beautiful illustrations with Adobe Photoshop Touch.
It's just that when it comes to basic things like, you know, writing, he just doesn't get it. And why would he? Everything is digital nowadays. I once asked him to jot down what he wanted from the store on a Post-It, and you would have thought I had asked him to do simple math without a calculator! Jeez. So lazy.
