It's like deja vu all over again...

ENOUGH with the digital video cameras already Woot! Goodness...Every other day it seems like. Just start a camcorder.woot or something...Yeesh.

Don't do it. I bought it on the last woot and the video quality is garbage.

You've been warned.

I just can't get enough of these video cameras.

Sylvania products on Amazon and the other review sites don't get the awesomest of reviews. But no reviews for this specific model.

These sold a few weeks ago. Look at the last comments on these, from the 17th after everyone got theirs delivered. Terrible. Grainy picture. Freezes.

I bought one of these as an xmas gift in previous Woot. The only review so far, it seems sturdy, well made and has a nice shiny purple finish.

I bought it last time around. Buyer beware, it's absolute crap. It's nothing more of what you would expect for a $40 video camera and everything less.

I'm hoping the one I ordered in the launch 12/10 arrives by Christmas? Still nothing on the tracking number "No information for the following shipments/FedEx Office orders has been received by our system yet. Please try again later"

Were you attempting to use this as your primary camera? I bought this for a child. I would think it would be fine for her...especially if she breaks it or loses it.

Pity. This is the first one I've seen with a light. I do a lot of borderline-light shooting and that would really help...

Personally, the camera is "OK" for the price, but only "ok". Not good, but not God Awful either.

&%^$# I got one last time too, but it was going to be a gift. Is it really bad?! Or just not really good? If there is difference!

So the launch was a couple of weeks ago, and the product is up for sale again? I wonder how many of these Woot got.

Good price, and the features sound nice. Was tempted last time, but didn't want to take a shot in the dark. Sounds like it was wise of me to wait.

horrible video quality software is horrible i returned my flip and bought 2 of them. MISTAKE!!! now, im giving them as gifts to the people I dont like!!!

I bought one the video quality is bad it makes a buzz sound and does not come with a memory stick I got one that it says is for it
and it doesn't work I wouldn't suggest buying this

I bought three of these the first time around. I sent one to each sibling and their families for Christmas. They've all got kids from 4-16. I figured it would be an okay camera for them to have and play with. If it falls apart, it won't be a huge loss.

A suggestion: "Motion Picture" doesn't mean you want to be moving the camera all over the place. Quite the contrary - for the best shots, you often want the camera to be completely still (if you aren't using a tripod, try to be still as a mime). If you must pan, do it sloooowly and evenly. Best, let your subject do the moving!

With the features on today's camcorders, that's important not only for good cinematography, but to keep automatic features (such as white-balance) from jumping all over the place.

30fps 720p sounds hella good to me for under $50.

I agree with the quality assessment. The video is very poor. I could not recommend this to anyone even at the $40.00 price point. Very disappointed in this item.

That video was so shaky it almost made me motion sick. Cloverfield 2.0

Terrible, horrible, no good, very bad video quality! Ugh.

Boyfriend bought one from woot awhile back. We ended up giving this to my 8 year old niece so she could make videos of her doll's tea-parties 'n such.

Great for a kid if you have a budding film maker, otherwise skip this one!

Glad to see that so many people already got theirs from the previous Woot. Sad to see I don't seem to have much to look forward to when mine arrives today or tomorrow.

I saw the video and I didnt think it was too bad for the price, it would make a great gift for a teen or anybody that just wants one to play around with.

Dang. I ordered three for Christmas gifts and they arrived yesterday. I haven't even opened the boxes to check them out. The one test video didn't seem horrible, but it wasn't all that great. I guess I'll have to get back-up gifts. Thanks, Woot.

Total. Complete. Garbage. I am really actually shocked Woot is putting it back up there knowing full well it is crap and they will be getting most of them back.

Buyer beware: This is sooo not HD. It is nothing more than a plastic time consuming waste. Save yourself a headache and those still waiting on theirs to arrive from the last Woot-Off, simply send it back and spare yourself. You have been warned.

For $40, you get what you pay for. That's a good deal for the video camera if you ask me. I bought one last woot-off, and I'm sure I'll use it for less important events/fun...

The Toshiba Camileo S20 Full-HD Pocket Camcorder has a light. I picked one up about a month ago when Amazon had them for $99. Then I saw them somewhere else for $89 and got a little ticked off. Now it's $134 on Amazon so I don't feel so bad. Anyway, it's a terrific camcorder and I'm sure it'll be on sale again after Christmas. But the light isn't powerful enough to illuminate a large area. Its useful range is only about 3-4 feet. A powerful light would need a big battery pack. It's perfect for industrial espionage. You can break into an office and steal the secret egg salad recipe without giving yourself away with a flash.

I don't get the point of these things. For a bit more money, you can buy a really wonderful camera that looks like it's for stills but takes great 720P or higher video *and* has an optical zoom. Is there really a need for supercheap super crummy tiny video cameras?

Actually no, you don't get what you paid for or what is advertised...

It wasn't advertised to have screaming audio feedback during playback, it wasn't advertised to be made of practically 100% plastic, it did advertise a HDMI port but it is actually a mini HDMI port that requires a special cord (if you want to go to all that trouble), it also wasn't advertised to turn off at any given time for no reason, I still can't figure out where it says that image stabilization is horrid, after reading the manual I didn't see where it said it would take forever to upload a pic, let alone a vid, to your PC...Facebook upload???? Paaaaalease.

"you get what you pay for"...I can get a headache from the wife for free. This thing costs $45.
