I suspect two things:

1) Woot is the single largest buyer of flying screaming monkeys in the world.

2) You can tell someone's patronage by the number of monkey and colors of their capes.

For example: I own solid blue and brown camouflage caped monkeys, and a glow-in-the-dark white monkey with a red cape.

A little research can tell you exactly how long and how often I woot.

I personally think it was the type of cape on this monkey that made me finally purchase one.

Good night to all. This is like year 5 or so for me and woot but it has changed so much. I used to log on to the woot offs just for the funny comments and to buy stuff...now there's little I want to buy and not much funny commentary or pics. They need to get back to the basics that made them fun and successful. I want that "wit" back!

Not even bummed that I did not get a Big o' Cosmos this time.

Actually thought about whether I *liked* the Monkey's cape, then considered the overall cost of the 31 monkeys I already have, and decided against buying these monkeys.

Does this mean Woot and my honeymoon phase is over? (Although they did get me with those charming 6ft 1.4 HDMI cables. So there's still a little something going on.)

So should I break it off completely, or just check out some other deal a day sites now and then - for a little "variety" - or realize that all relationships go through these ups and downs?

My children told me NO MORE ...we have enough screaming monkeys. If they would have been the large ones I would have got three anyhow. My dogs favorite all time toy.

In for 3. Parents have a 3 pound Yorkshire terrier obsessed with these.

She recognizes the woot box when it arrives. It is hilarious watching her play with them.

Semi-serious question although it's not going to sound like one - is the "screaming" part a component inside that could be removed, or is the scream caused somehow by the actual flinging of teh monkey?

I gave all my previous monkeys away. Just bought three of these for my dog, but he has a habit of swallowing things he oughtn't - hence the question.
