Definitely only useful if you buy in bulk to save on shipping and I really don't need 180 batteries sitting around.

Not the best batteries the world has ever known, but 6 bucks for 60? I'll gladly pump these things through my devices and then go infect groundwater with all sorts of dangerous chemicals as I throw them into landfills without mercy, knowing that it's all worth it because I'm saving money. And if some environmentalist ever gets mad at me, I'll just point out that since they were weaker than some other brands, the chemicals are probably less toxic, to boot.

In for 3.

What the heck, I'm in for one of each!

Anyone with some personal experience with this brand? I really want a remote control helicopter but they eat up the batteries and this could be just the ticket.

That or rechargeables, but who wants to save Mother Nature?

It looks like these aren't alkaline though.

"Extra long life" as long as you don't use them in anything manufactured after 1980.

Yeah, doesn't say it anywhere. If they were alkaline they'd sure as hell say it. Even if they said it I'd be skeptical.

12.76 cents/battery if you buy 3. Isn't this essentially the same price as at Ikea? It's 20 cents/battery at Ikea, but those are alkalines.

Lol do you want to tell them or let the suckers buy them?

If these are Alkaline, or disposable for that matter, they're going to be shipped through freezing temperatures. So this 60 pack might as well be a 30 pack (life expectancy) by the time it gets to you.

Alkalines are supposed to hold about 4 times the charge that heavy duty batteries do.

So considering that, heavy duty batteries die much sooner, and end up taking 4 times as much space in the landfills.

I wonder where they mined all this metal at so this can be so cheap. Are these blood batteries?

These appear to be carbon-zinc batteries, the battery technology of the Sixties. You need to take "flashlights" out of your recommended uses, because these batteries aren't powerful enough for more than occasional use in them, and may well leak if left in them for long. There really isn't any *good* use for these, but TV remotes that don't have screens or lights on them are one, and maybe cheap R/C toys with really short ranges. (I'm talking about the remotes for those toys, not the actual toys!)

They shouldn't make these landfill-fillers anymore, because while not especially toxic (just like the much better alkalines) there really is no good use for them. They will be used up so fast they just aren't good for anything except cheap IR remotes. Most digital cameras probably wouldn't even get three photos from a set.

Heavy duty battieries aren't very useful in high powered electronics. But 60 batteries is a good lifetime supply for your tv remotes.

There is a fine line between selling of old technology that not everyone appreciates, and repurposing a website as a dumping ground.

I'd say stocking stuffers, but a sock full of batteries sounds more like a weapon than a source of Christmas cheer.

Wha? AAA and AA can't both be 900mAh.

That's not how they work.

Ah, how broad of a term "extra long life" is... Are we talking about the lifespan of a flea or a Cubs fan in downtown STL or what?

Even if these aren't "alkaline" or "don't last as long as real batteries" still... where ya gonna find 120 batteries for 18 bucks (2 x shipped)!! it's worth it!!!!

Heavy Duty? AKA Zinc-carbon? For FLASHLIGHTS???

You know when you start mashing the remote control just to change one channel even though you just put in a battery less than a month ago? It's probably because of a dying zinc-carbon (heavy duty) battery.

Yes there is. You simply select at checkout. It is required. I just did it for 1 AA and one AAA and it went fine.

Any way you buy em... you will be getting a great deal.

Also:

History on Fuji Film... which looks to be the same Fuji as these batteries. Since I don't think it is Fuji Heavy Industries, that owns Subaru....
