How does it know!?

Got a half-dozen (for a buck more each, I think) when they were offered a while back in a "two-fer." Quality product, retails at a MUCH higher price. The open-ended handle allows it to be hooked on a belt, lid absolutely prevents spillage.

I was just in the Big Easy. I met a tarot card reader that said I should expect a big surprise in the very near future. I didn't pay her, she didn't ask if I cared, there was no line of people waiting.....so you know it was true. In any event, this seer of all things future and what not promised me something big, and good, and Holy - so I naturally assume that I would see flashing lights at midnight for the promised Wootoff. Now I normally wouldn't say anything, Woot, but I thought you may want to know who you were messing with. She seemed serious. She had a scarf *and* silver rings. Again, another clear sign of authenticity. You may need to take clear, decisive, voodoo type defensive action.

This has a 5 year warranty, and is actually leak proof unlike many others that claim to be. For the cost of shipping, you may as well go in for three.

Oooh - Now we can all have our very own Stanley Cup!

Not a huge fan of this cup. I gave them away as stocking stuffers and kept one for myself. The drink doesn't seem to flow quickly enough for me. Everyone I gave the cups to loves them, though.

I got the 2-pack last time and like them. Fill one up, close the lid, throw it in my motorcycle saddlebag and ride to work, never spill a drop. They are not as well insulated as a full Stanley thermos and you can feel a little warmth through the side.

One slight con... You have to turn the lid about half a turn to go from closed to open to get a drink so it can be a little awkward one-handed.

I've bought too much to list.

Does NOT keep hot drinks hot for very long; very disappointing. Can't even come close to the performance from my Thermos Stainless King travel mug, which keeps coffee steaming hot for a good six hours in cold weather. Did not try cold drinks in it - gave them away.

If you buy 3 it makes it a great deal. I purchased 3 last time these were on and am pleased. Best of all they don't leak. Nothing worse than a cup that claims not leak but leaks. Great mugs.

Oh ya

kcmark

FYI for those that didn't already notice - on the inside, it's plastic not stainless steel. Makes it a deal breaker in my book.

Obviously, no comparison on price but I'll stick with this one http://www.amazon.com/Thermos-Stainless-SK1005MB4-16-Ounce-Leak-Proof/dp/B002PY7AYS/ref=sr_1_cc_1?s=aps&ie=UTF8&qid=1326694014&sr=1-1-catcorr $25 but there is a reason it has 4.5/5 stars with 700+ reviews.

C'mon Woot - how about a stainless interior for $8 instead of $4 for the plastic version?

I purchased the 2fer last time. They are, indeed, leak-proof. However, they do not keep my coffee hot for more than about an hour.

jzzbassman

Bought it during the last 2-fer. I love my Thermos E5's as seen here:
http://www.amazon.com/Thermos-E10500-16-Ounce-Leak-Proof-Travel/dp/B000FOMP6I/ref=sr_1_10?s=home-garden&ie=UTF8&qid=1326694306&sr=1-10

However, I got some coffee joules and they don't fit the opening, so I bought the Stanley. They do NOT keep things hot nearly long enough for me. The plastic interior doesn't do very well.

Price wise it's a good deal, I haven't found this cheaper anywhere. I was mildly excited about this, but then I went to Stanley's site and discovered that they are basically a zombie company, part of something called Pacific Market International, who claim "our products are ethically manufactured with our partner factories in Asia." So yeah, more Chinese garbage, none for me thanks.

I,too, bought the double pack. They work as described, but they do not fit my car's cupholder which makes them cumbersome. I'll stick with my Contigo which does fit and keeps my coffee hot in freezing weather for 4 hrs.

This does not fit under the Keurig coffeemaker. It definitely is leakproof when closed.....but I found it so difficult to drink from that I usually don't use the lid at all.

If you want a great tumbler to keep coffee hot for extended amounts of time, I think the Thermos Sipp is the way to go. I am always amazed when I forget to drink my coffee, and come back hours later to very hot coffee. It was $20.00 locally. I don't expect that same level of performance, but 3 for $17.00 is good enough to seal the deal for me. I don't mind having an extra around.

It's the shiny stuff. It reflects cold.

If the cold is on the outside and tries to get in, it gets bounced away and scattered. If the cold is on the inside, any cold that tries to escape gets bounced back inwards.

The concave walls tend to focus and concentrate the cold rays, keeping them active longer. Under certain conditions, if the cold passes through enough ice cubes and bounces off the wall of the cup enough times, it's theoretically possible for the contents to actually get colder !

Paying 160% of the product price for shipping is a definite pass, unless the product comes filled with hundred dollar bills......

Got a two pack last time. They are worth about as much as you pay for them. Don't expect them to keep hot drinks hot for very long. The outside warms up significantly, indicating that they are not well insulated.
Will only fit large cup holders.
On the positive side, they are spill proof.

They sell these at walmart for about the same price. I'm pretty sure I remember paying less than 10$. they also sell ones without handles that have a plastic outer shell instead of aluminum. I believe these ones are 5$ or 6$. I have 2 of these aluminum ones and 2 of the plastic ones. Both are great! I have had them for about 2 years and use them everyday. I actually prefer the plastic outer shell as the aluminum bottle tends to draw in the cold air and cool the hot beverage inside.

picked up 4 last time and may go in for a few more as some have asked me about these and like them. i find them well made and indeed leak / spill proof. gave a couple to a family member who is a contractor who can't afford spills and he loves 'em. no they are not meant to be real "thermo" so drink w/e you are drinking within an hour or so. be they are good workplace sippers nonetheless. i think the Stanley name suggests tools, safety, ruggedness, blue collar workplace environment. and these seems purpose made for things related to such

there are no such things as cold rays... cold can only be thought of scientifically as the absence of heat. so it can only make your contents colder by deflecting incoming heat rays.

Dunno if you're talking about this Thermos mug, but I got two of them as a gift for Christmas a year ago and they're fantastic. They keep coffee hot for, well, longer than it takes me to drink a mug full (if I pour my cuppa at 8am I can still drink it at 2pm).

I think there's a small nuclear fusion reactor hidden inside these things...

vintagesales87

quality posts: 2 Private Messages vintagesales87

Oh and yes, these are insulated. They will not fit under a keurig even with the tray removed and you can drop these from an airplane and the mug will survive with every drop retained.

Did you try taking out the spill guard of the Keurig?

Will this mug work in Canada? I have a cousin in Nova Scotia but I'd hate to send it to her only to find out it was a brick up yonder.

TIA for any help.

If it takes you more than an hour to drink 16 oz of coffee, your doing it wrong.
