I always give my items a week and half from time of order until delivery. Usually it is much faster than that, but that way I don't panic too early.

Yup, standard time is three to five business days....just because we can woot on holidays and weekends, doesn't make it a business day for the shipping team.. Just keep tabs on the tab at the top of the page, Your Account.

I ordered an item during the woot-off on Fri. 11-18 and as of today, 11-28, when I check my account, it shows that I purchased the item, but it doesn't have any shipping information. I'm not too worried, but it seems that everyone usually receives their items pretty quick from the messages that I've read on the boards. Has anybody got any suggestions? Thanks~

I ordered only one item in the woot-off, and it was delivered (in California) a week ago.

But that was apparently drop-shipped from another location, and via UPS, so it doesn't fit the typical woot pattern. They may have rushed it for the holiday, since it was a slicing knife.

I think the usual suggestion of five business days means you should wait another day or two before getting alarmed about it.

I ordered 3 different items... 1 came last week, 1 came today and the third is somewhere in never woot neverland. I would give it another day or two before you get too worried. Check the thread for the particular product you are missing to see if others have received theirs. If they have, you may want to e-mail woot. Good luck! Smile

Where exactly does it show the shipping date? I've checked the email from woot and "your account". After I click on the order #, it says the usual stuff about the credit card being charged, the shipping address that the product is being shipped to, but I don't see anything resembling shipping dates. Thanks again~

You should get a separate email as well.
But either way, that won't be until it ships ... and occasionally, not until a day or two after, as happened with my woot-off knife.

I emailed Woot yesterday evening due to not hearing anything from them concerning shipping my purchase during the woot-off on 11-18-05. I received an email from them this morning.

"we are a little behind due to the holiday last week, your order looks
ok on this end. sorry for the delay."

So I guess nothing is wrong.....just extremly behind and slow these days.
P.S. I'm in San Antonio (5 hours away)

I'm from around the Austin area (3 hrs. away). Didn't order anything during the woot-off, but did buy something last week. Still waiting for my order to be updated. Wish I had a reason to go to Dallas, might see if they'd let me pick it up in person.

Based on everybody's experience...

If an item is bought on, say a Wednesday, when will it be shipped by Woot?

When will the buyer receive email notification of shipping plus the tracking number?

From my experience and what I've read in the forums, woot tries to get stuff out of the warehouse in two to three BUSINESS days, after your purchase. Items are usually shipped in that time-frame. However, woot's shipping schedule can vary and at times it takes longer. I've never waited longer than four days for the e-mail of shipping confirmation and I've never had a problem receiving my goods...though some have posted their FedEx horror stories.

However, note from your acct page:
"If your order doesn't change to "shipped" within 5 days, check in our community forums for news of any delay, post there, and/or e-mail our service department at service@woot.com."

YMMV

As for the email notification of shipping and the tracking number, I have always received one, but have read posts stating that, sometimes, members received the item, before the e-mail, heh. The best thing to do, imo, is to continue to check the "My Account" link (at the top of the page) for updates to shipping info/tracking info.

(Obviously, once you have received a tracking number in "My Account," then you need to look into the delivery information provided by the shipper to find out the estimated arrival date.)

The average time for items to be shipped from the warehouse is two-three business days.

Items are usually shipped in that time-frame. Woot-offs, however can lead to wacky delivery schedules. It differs each woot-off. The last one, some items shipped very quickly and others were delayed. Honestly, you'll know more once it shows up in "Your Account" and can check the tracking # for delivery info.

From "Your Acct" link at top of page:

I to ordered during the woot off and was wondering about arrival.

Bought on Thursday so it has been 4 regular days, and two business days, so I figure they have until friday of this week to ship it (that is the day after the 5th buisiness day). After then I will start to get worried.

I really hope they ship it before then, I was hoping to use my new wireless keyboard to type up an english essay due on wednesday.

I ordered way too much stuff in the Woot-Off as I'm sure many others did. I'm not complainging about that, though.

I'm concerned about the tracking info that I received today for my packages.

I got 7 emails this morning with shipping information. Three of the emails had the same tracking number and when I went to look it up, it shows that it was delivered yesterday to Pompano Beach, Florida. Except I live in Minneapolis, Minnesota.

I already received my Microsoft wireless keyboards on Monday, but I haven't received any of the other items yet. Did the Woot tracking system get confused with all of the Woot-Off shipments? The "My Account" page shows all of my orders but when I click on the order numbers, none of them show tracking information.

It's best to check and post to the item's specific thread, which is where staff will post updates. if necessary, and members post their experiences. I have never not received my items, but the shipping schedule for woot-off items is unpredictable.

People would post that information in the original blog for the item.
Click on "the blog" up on top of the page. Find your item and check the last posts. Some of the product threads stay active for a long time.
Don't worry, it will show up....eventually!

I've always received my woots by FedEx Ground/Home. I think I read of some over-sized stuff that was shipped UPS, on occasion, but I'm not sure. You don't have a choice, though. :p

It's pretty much FedEx, but I think you can sign a FedEx "waiver of signature" that goes on file and they'll leave the package at the shipping address, where you request, like your backdoor, at home. The reason for the italics is people have posted that items get delivered to the wrong addy, stolen by nasty neighbors, and other problematic scenarios. It's a risk...

No, we do not ship outside of the continental United States at this time. We do not ship to APO/FPO addresses, Canada, Mexico, Alaska, Hawaii, nor to Maggie's Nipples, Wyoming or Assinippi, Massachusetts at this time.

Poking around I found out that woot uses FedEx to ship. Is there a way I can change the shipping addy on my recent purchase? I have already changed it on the other.

I'd send the e-mail confirmation with the order #, clear subject line, etc., to service@woot.com, explaining that the shipping address needs to be changed from the PO Box used for the order, to current info.

How can I track my order?
Regardless of shipping method, you will get a tracking email once your order ships. You can check your order status by logging in and clicking the “My Account” tab at the top of the page. Your account page will list all your previous orders. Click on the order number to view tracking information for that order. Do not email us the next day asking when your item will ship. Take a breath. Have a cup of coffee. Patience in all things, grasshopper.
