Wow, that's got to be a record crash right there. I've been on Woot for a long time, and I don't think I've ever seen the site crash quite that hard before.

As a guy who works in IT and manages several servers myself, I honestly and truly pity the dev team on duty during this round of craps. I salute you, sirs.

I am awed by the beauty and truth of your verse. This should have a permanent place on the site, or at least be reposted with the Crap Commandments.

Is it just on my computer, or has anyone else noticed that the items on the community page are all out of order and the Bucket of Coral keeps jumping from one place to another? There are things from last November and all sorts of other dates mixed in with yesterday's and today's stuff.

The new default is sorted by most recent comments. You can change it to sort by date.

Like, the past few times it's been spread out, it was 500 bags every 8-9 hours; now it's 500 bags, and then like 18 hours later, 59 bags.. and now it's been another 20 hours with nothing. I think they took the extra time to sleep and recover from the last two times they put the Billiards of Cortez up. And clear up all the tissues from crying and the caffeine wreckage.

Then they took the time to learn about what went wrong and how to fix it. They'll put more up when they're a little more confident the system won't crash like it did before.

At least, that's my theory.

At around 10:30am I was going backto work from my break, and took a little detour. I went outside to catch some WiFi and check on woot (unlike some here, I don't have a computer at work). I pulled my galaxy player and hooked up to OptimumWiFi (that's almost everywhere I go here in NJ).

To my dismay, w00t would not load. Tried many times and failed many more. So instead I went to one of the tracker sites, Wxxxxxx.us (yeah I censor myself) Where I saw the picture of the Basket of Crawfish on top of the little car. I clicked buy, buy, buy but instead it gave me a "streaming error". Then I went back to try again and I noticed that there was no progress bar and that I was 2 minutes late to go back to my work area so I couldn't continue . Now that I'm home I don't see a thread for that bag or any mention of it anywhere. Walrus Toting Halibut

In community, select the 'sort by last post' option. This should bring the thread to the top of the list. The default setting is 'sort by date', which means you'd have to scroll back in time to see the thread. And you didn't miss any fun, because nobody, including the developers, had any.

Shall we just quit wasting our lives, gaining more fat on our asses to no avail? Or shall we regain our lives and do something productive with ourselves...or at least not waste anymore damn time. Kinda got salt water to do with my life, in case you hadn't noticed.
