All the pics of me in my hip-hugger bell bottoms were on film, can't post them.

Well, another day has passed and I didn't use algebra once.

We are back in the mountains. There was a lot of grass mowing going on at my house this afternoon. I'm not sure what happened to the people that hubby hired to mow the grass. They didn't show up.

Ok, I finished Mockingjay, I guess I'll come back to the internets.

Hi all

Ed, the fence looks great!

I was shredding a bunch of old check carbon copies and I asked Orc if he thought our daughters would ever own a checkbook. I mean we almost never use ours. I wonder how long until they start to become an antiquated thing to do.

Poof, Kdc, congrats on your graduates!

bras, in general, still cover more than bikinis. And you have to admit the enhanced view-ability of their contents do tend to be attractive, especially to the opposite gender.

Low riding pants, not so much.

Belts are sometimes prohibited to keep prisoners from using them as weapons or in committing suicide by hanging themselves. The style was later popularized by hip-hop artists in the 1990s. It has since become a symbol of freedom and cultural awareness among many youths or a symbol of their rejection of the values of mainstream society."

I don't care for the low-riding pants, but really hate the ones where the kid is constantly pulling them up or even holding onto them.

What's even worse is any girl over a size 8 wearing a crop top.

YUP! They took out the best winter entertainment we had. Watching sorority girls on their mandatory dress-up days during winter try to get down the ramps of the classroom center which always froze with a nice layer of black ice. Always a fun spectator event. - they added a building on one side and blocked the wind going through and made one wall of the classrooms indoor access.

Usually holding them up by the crotch area.
The campus cops like it when the ne'er-do-wells wear those pants. It's a lot easier to catch them when they try and run.

Here they'd just step out of them and run for it... but I imagine if they are more reluctant to let go...

Good morning all. I am trying to picture Poof in hip hugger, bell bottom jeans. And love beads and a tie dyed shirt. "Those were the days my friend, we thought they'd never end..." Whew.

I have a 45 lb.salmon in my bathtub thawing out for the big fish party tomorrow. It is like a rock, I could whack somebody with it! Unfortunately after more than 2 weeks of beautiful hot weather it has turned cold and rainy. I guess we will have many people in our house instead of out on the deck.

My dogs like me, that is important.

Good thinking.
Finally got the potatoes for the potato salad. This afternoon, going to a friend's for hair cut and color. I just color hers, no way would anybody let me near them with a pair of scissors.

Hey all. It's really weird weather for here, overcast and warm, and the overcast is making it humid.... which I guess everyone else here is used to, but I'm a desert girl, it's killing me.... plus we are far enough north that AC is uncommon.... ours isn't installed yet.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Kangaroo_care

"Kangaroo care is a technique practiced on newborn, usually preterm, infants wherein the infant is held, skin-to-skin, with an adult. Kangaroo care for pre-term infants may be restricted to a few hours per day, but if they are medically stable that time may be extended. Some parents may keep their babies in-arms for many hours per day. Kangaroo care, named for the similarity to how certain marsupials carry their young, was initially developed to care for preterm infants in areas where incubators are either unavailable or unreliable."

Thanks No1! I had taken my daughters to frozen yogurt/sorbet since Ver1 had a really rough day at school.

That's exactly what it is. More importantly it's the first time Mom has been able to hold her son. They've also found that the skin to skin contact can be enormously helpful in getting the babies out of incubators and growing.

Cool! That is neat! So glad she got to finally hold her baby.

edit: Good morning everybody!

edit2: I'm afraid I'm going to be a crying Mom at graduation. I can't believe Daughter is graduating! She seems to really like her job at the Day Care. She rattles on about this or that kid.
