I have a suspicion that they might take a long time to update the site, just to keep people interested and playing. I would imagine that a lot of people would drop off and quit trying if they knew the top 100 spots was taken already.
It's just a hunch; hope I am wrong.

Glitch! Gave correct answer for 5, but it can't find the page.

You're probably right.
Looking at the trend of how quickly they started coming in last night and this morning, the 100 was probably reached by midmorning today.

Do you seriously think top developers would have made a glitch like that?

Oddly enough, you could say that they did make that glitch. On purpose

The .Net framework version gave that one away.

Probably. I am not holding my breath at this point. It was fun though.

If should remember their first clues they gave you on Level2, "Trust nothing. Question everything.", then that'll get you halfway there.

I felt that way many, many times throughout this puzzle. I think I even face palmed a few times.

Too true. By the time I was done, I was so untrusting that I did a view-source on the 'Congratulations' email they sent me. I was actually kinda disappointed that there wasn't a secret there. Guess I didn't want it to end.

Oh, I definitely face-palmed a couple times. Pulled on my hair a few more times, and went to bed last night dreaming of solutions.
It was funny. I was struggling with one puzzle for over an hour and gave up and turned the computer off, and the moment I did, the solution just popped into my head, so I had to boot back up, complete it and continue on.

Anyone have the URL for 35? On a different computer, and can't remember what is is.

Probably not a good idea to give out direct URL's on here. Lots of other people are checking it out and might use it to cheat.

Just a tip, though. Start saving off all the URL's and email them to yourself. Many of the puzzles refer to previous puzzles, which unless your memory is perfect you're going to need to go back and refer to them eventually anyway.

+1 to this. You will have to go back again and again for a few of the puzzles.

Hmm, there is an actual error in question 39 (SSN regex). It is missing a '}' after the second input field. Threw me off for a bit...

Yup, I noticed that too, and the debugging one was a big old mess...

Still unable to get #25. I've looked at all the comments on these boards, been to both orielly.com and oriellymaker.com and done searches withing those sites, searches on both Google and Bing (desperate, no? ) based on the text of the "book", author, etc.
I have the feeling that I'm making this MUCH harder than it is, but I've been over it a hundred times and I'm out of ideas. Any help?

Just go to the site, clear your mind of preconceived notions, then look over what's available. If you know what you want, the site will guide you truly.

If you google for the first thing you see on the page, it should be the first thing you see.

I still contend that there was nothing technically wrong with the debugging one. I'd rather not get into details here since I don't want to spoil it for others.

According to Jeff Blankenburg over on the TDPE twitter feed, he will be posting the rest of the top 100 list tonight and changing the autoresponse email contents as well.

Anyone notice that 39 is wrong? It's missing a '}' on the 2nd part and fails when you put it in.

My point was the problem says the function should "display an image and update it every so often" and they "missed a few keystrokes to make it work" and asks you to figure out what's missing. The "correct" answer in no way will make it perform the desired function.

If you are going to make puzzles where "everything is significant" having something so ambiguous is kind of a problem. They could have said something like "he can't even get it to run without syntax errors, can you at least help him fix those."

They should be hard because they're difficult, not because they are poorly worded.

Also, congrats!

How does it work on a mac but not a pc?

I'm completely stuck on this. I figured there was some javascript that was protecting him, but I can't find anything. I can't figure out what the 'protective layer' is.

I don't know Silverlight, so I'm not sure if there is anything there I can do.

Okay, still stuck on 62. Found missing letter, decoded letters, but the second to last one doesn't work.

What am I doing wrong?

You do, but the button tips its hand a little when it taunts you. Pay attention to what it says about its protection.

The devs didn't want to force anyone to actually use silverlight, so there is another way. Sorry if this is considered too much of a spoiler!!!!!!

View source, find the URL for the .XAP file and download it. This is the silverlight container, and it is actually a simple compressed file. Take a peek inside it...
