These would be good for electric dog clippers. They need to be oiled after each use and they send you a teenie little plastic bottle of it.

Are the pens a 1-time use, so we can 12 uses? Or can we use them multiple times and we've basically hit the jackpot on lubricant?

Also, trying to avoid some obvious innuendo here.

Assuming this really is the same liquid as in the can, don't use it to lubricate. WD-40 is mostly toxic solvent; after it evaporates it just leaves some sticky gunk behind that doesn't lubricate well. WD-40 will free rusted bolts, but I don't know if these pens will work for that. This is probably why they are here, today...

Tip will get really dirty if people use it on anything messy. Which is usually the case with these things. Maybe its a good thing that you get so many of em at once.

Finally! Something to loosen up the cap on my pocket wd-40 so I can spray the lid on my can-o-wd-40 so I can lube up the tractor to drive down to Billy Bob's supply depot to get me some more wd-40!!

Please do not increment my Quality Posts count. 69 is a good place to be. ;-)

WD-40 is great, but it is messy. It attracts tons of dirt and debris I use white lithium and it not as messy or attracts dust.

The big advantage of this over the can is - you can't lose the silly straw thing that comes with the can!

I use WD-40 on my fishing lures as a scent, or perhaps as a scent to overpower any human scents that will scare away fish...it works for me quite well...

I'm surprised Woot! didn't try to include any innuendos in their write up for this item. I mean... it's right there!

Perhaps they're thinking, "...Nah, too easy."

"No-Mess Lubricant Pen" piqued my interest for about 3 seconds. Turns out it's less fun than I thought.

I do love the smell of WD-40 though. I think I should avoid buying this, based on that fact alone...

I even buy the Cr@p that ISN'T random.

"Keep out of reach of children"....

But the design looks like one of those fun and desirable markers... If the kids find those - you may get surprised with some cute WD-40 drawings around the house!

So tempting as it is to get 12 at this price, I'd skip for the safety of my kids....

msruru wrote:You know it's made out of fish oil

Some fishermen regularly coat their lures with WD-40 to attract fish as it ahs been know to attract fish. The fact that it seems to work perpetuated the rumour that WD-40 was made from fish oil. For the record, it isn’t.
