Eight SECONDS and 3.1 MILLION requests vs the TEN HOURS we had this time?

I'm sorry for those people who had game issues, but more normal people had a chance this time than ever before.

I agree with ALL of the people who said something to the effect that "The game gave More people a Chance to obtain a Big o' Cosmos" based on the facts that:
It was available Much Longer than usual. If you had enough time to play the game even once before it sold out, you had more of a chance than you NORMALLY would have had. Typically, 2500 orders would have sold out in No Less Than 20minutes even with the servers crashing. That being said, NOBODY who logged in any later than 12:20CDT would have had ANY chance At All! If you logged in later than that, you have NO REASON TO COMPLAIN because you actually did have MORE of an opportunity than normal! Getting the Big o' Cosmos is ALWAYS a "Game Of Chance" this time it was literally. If you cannot handle that, stay away from casinos! I also don't think that the Bot users have much of an advantage but then again, my computer is slow so what do I know? The bottom line is, if you can't handle losing for FREE don't bother trying to "Win" because that is the only time that the Big o' Cosmos costs you any money. Any other costs are by YOUR CHOICE and you need to learn to be responsible for YOUR OWN ACTIONS like an adult!

I see you too got Bags on Level 1 and 2. So I'm not the only one. Still, I emailed woot for some sort of an explanation. Awaiting reply.

I'm Bryan. Nice to meet you, Wooter.

So was it 750 bags per level or 250 orders? Even though each person clicks 1 they are each getting 3... so that would be only 2500 bag orders given out. Anyone offhand remember the usual number?

I still want to know if they will give us a link to be able to download the music from the game. That $#!+ was catchy!

749-750 woots per level, 3 craps per woot. The usual offering is around 3,000 woots total. This one was 7500.

Just really damn lucky: Random Crap: 2/15/08, 2/19/09, 12/25/09, 4/1/10, 12/1/10, 12/25/10, 4/1/11, 5/11/11, 9/14/11, 10/12/11, 12/25/11

kitcatbrat wrote:Yeah, when I played level one, I died right away, entered my information on the buy it page, then it was sold out. When I reloaded the page it was on level two, so I played the game again, and died after about two seconds into level one (AGAIN) and went straight through to purchase the level 2 baggie.

We got lucky. They were having problems starting from about two minutes after I got my bag, and my roommate didn't get one (she even played the game when it was a level 3 bag, beat level 4, but nothing happened). You do NOT have an epic fail, rather an epic WIN because you didn't have to go through the game to buy two bags :P

Fun idea though, can't wait to see what they do next year!

DITTO on next year! I didn't get one last year but, I enjoyed the game.
I was afraid, at first, that since the actual GAME hadn't come up yet, that I was going to have to make it through the buy process 10 times before it sold out and I KNEW my old computer would never make it without crashing! Then I got the payment confirmation email for the Level-2 Carp and thought "Aw Hell No, I'm not paying $86.60 with sales tax for 1BOC!" I figured Aw We, the Hitchhikers, I'll see if I can make it through the Level-3 buy process before my comp crashes, even if I get charged a 3rd time! That's when the jig was up and I realized that I had been APRIL FOOLed in a good way! Thanks Again WOOT!

My useless bit of trivia crap for the day.

The first president of the United States was John Hanson, not George Washington. Good old George was the first president under the Constitution. Hanson was the first president under the ratified Articles of Confederation.

Even Hanson was not really the first because Samuel Huntington was the first President of the United States in Congress Assembled and was followed by Thomas McKean.

Now I'm going to see about making a sandwich for myself.
