it's funny how many people who dis this would go out and buy a tablet that's actually slower and less functional than a windows 98 laptop that would use this.

a decent pentium III is faster than any tablet on the market, and far more useful, to put it in perspective.

This is perfect for me running my old programs, my current one needs a dongle.

Actually, at this point, if your laptop needs it, the PCMCIA card is probably worth more than the laptop is.

However you'll also need what's called "browser." You can grab a CD of software called Netscape at some specialty retailers.

Wow. To use this, you have to have a laptop that is so obsolete that:

1. It actually has a PCMCIA slot

and

2. Even more astoundingly, it has to not have an ethernet port of its own. I've actually never owned a laptop that could use this.

Whilst I appreciate the attempt at the trend, I am doubtful network cards will ever be traded like baseball cards. Maybe if you try putting them in a ten pack with a special foil wrapper and sell them for a quarter?

I think the whole tablet fad is rather silly myself but you can hardly compare one to a Windows 98 laptop.
