Well, how do you fare compared to the Zeitgeist? Chat up your fellow wooters and let us know how lame this poll was or what obvious choices we missed. For example: Was this poll a) STUPID, b) DUMB, c) POINTLESS or d) ALL OF THE ABOVE?

I have a mug collection, but my favorite has a picture of a Triumph Bonneville on it.
Love the mug, hated the bike.

One year at a previous employer everyone's moral was low because there were layoffs and a freeze on raises. But for some reason they gave everyone really nice coffee mugs with faux gold trim and the company logo.

I'm not a coffee drinker but I do have a warped sense of humor so I made a small sticker and affixed it to the bottom inside the mug that read "Sorry, not an instant winner!".

Mine is usually a paper cup so co-workers don't steal it. A regular mug wouldn't last the day.

Mine is one that I commandeered from the mini kitchen. I never use it, but it sits on my desk like a trophy or something.

I don't drink the coffee, I drink water. In a 64oz. Kum & Go thing.

e) Not stupid at all!

Other obvious choices:
-is your best friend
-one of those reuseable save-the-planet mugs
-has a layer of coffee scuzz; you never wash it, and that only adds to the flavor (vast majority of my co-workers' opinion).

Other. It's a Starbucks 20 oz. bronze-looking tumbler that keeps my coffee hot endlessly if I don't unscrew it. After snowfall, when I have to go shovel a bunch, I take it with me as well. I'd like to say it doesn't define me because I make 15 coffees for every time I visit Starbucks (if not more), but I like Starbucks.

Is 24 Oz, paper, and disposable, but I rinse it out and reuse it about 4 times. Free work coffee + extra large 7-11 paper coffee cup = win.

I hate coffee and therefore don't have a work coffee mug. I find the obsessive behavior of some people concerning their coffee to be a sign of humanity's downfall and a harbinger to the apocalypse.

Sometimes I'll put soda in my insulated mugs, and I've got this giant blue coffee mug that I'll drink milk out of when eating delicious chocolate chip cookies!

LOL funny, I think the same of those who drink milk. I don't drink coffee either.

it is a bone china mug that was a gift from my son, bought when he went to London on a college trip and I love it and guard it from all others.

Is bright yellow and has Charlie Brown on one side and the words "Camp Snoopy" on the other. I think I would notice if someone else was using it. I think it's a great way to say, "Yes, I am here, but don't think you can own my spirit, Mr Corporate Man." I'm also a fan of his blue shoes. It's worth the look.

Not a big coffee drinker, but I do use a Beatles mug as my pen holder. I drink one 24 oz Mtn Dew everyorning and H2O from my Tervis tumbler (Auburn 2010 National Champions).

I don't drink coffee, but I have an insulated mug that I bring water to work in. The water here at work seems to have only 1 temperature no matter what way you turn the dials and that temperature is luke-warm.

My old mug used to hold coffee. The mug warmer killed it I miss it--it was a Shakespearean Insults mug.

New mug is a tea mug. Covered in tea scuzz because that makes it taste better. Kind of like cast-iron pans. ;)

Stainless steel with a wide base and narrower top so it's virtually impossible to accidentally knock over. No more coffee-stained paperwork ever.

Consider yourself fortunate. Where I work the water is algae flavored.

Ordered 3 hoping they are the same type Stanley coffee mugs that I bought before Christmas to give to Service/Delivery people, i.e. Mail delivery, Trash pick-up, UPS, FedX, etc.
They Love them. The UPS man said he has to keep his hid in his truck to keep people from stealing it.

I use a travel tumbler that rarely travels (and never tumbles). I believe I am counter-encouraged from posting something which might be construed as a link, but search a certain retailer for "Thermos Stainless Steel Tea Tumbler with Infuser" if you catch my drift. It doesn't hold tons of coffee, but it keeps it hot for a long time. That said, I'm thinking about picking up a couple of the ones we're selling.

I use a liter-sized water bottle for my coffee, as a regular coffee mug or thermos just aren't large enough for my coffee-chugging needs.

I rose in rainy autumn and walked abroad in a shower of all my days.

You're hardcore and I admire you.

I don't have a special work coffee mug - I own a lot of mugs, and rotate. (I do have a favorite travel tumbler that I like to use when I'm wandering around town on weekends, however.) I don't drink a lot of coffee in the office anyway, so I have a special stylish teacup instead.

I'm just hanging out, really.

The special thing about my work coffee mug: It smells like rotten dog poo inside, yet I still drink out of it. I really need to invest in a higher quality product. I always let the coffee inside it mold over and now the smell won't come out.

My work mug is one I got of the trash when I moved in from the people living there before me.

My home mug is Captain America from my Girlfriend

I have high hopes for this travel mug.. all my other ones screw up the taste..

Does not exist, since I build test benches for your set top boxes and we're not allowed to have any type of beverages in the shop areas, only the offices or break room, where everyone seems to lose their coffee cups/mugs/tumblers, etc.

... has been sitting lonely in my work cube for 1/2 year while I wfh. (to add: no, since I brought it in, it never has had coffee in it since they won't let us refill our own mugs at the cafeteria. It's a water mug now.)

I struggle to remember to take it home. And by "it", I mean the five or six that tend to accumulate on my desk, since I have to bring a new one every morning.
