Definitely. Deep fried club sandwich with raspberry jam... or the french dip... thinly sliced, but with tons of meat and a big ole side of au ju (or however its spelled).
peanut butter, lettuce, and mayonnaise on toast. almost better than s..
CUBAN
You forgot the Monte Cristo!
Hot corned beef & swiss on pumpernickel with spicy brown mustard!
Monte Cristo!!
I'll second the Thanksgiving special.
tomato, basil, Mozzarella
The lack of respect PB&J is getting is sad. Such a classic, it's like the Godfather movie.
Katz Deli NYC - Pastrami Reuben hands down
grilled chiken tomato 2 slices a lil mayo and some pikles on the side;)
My top four (in no particular order)... Monto Cristo Reuben Gyro Chicago Italian Beef
The Super Bird!!
Although the Club and BLT are both serious contenders (mmm...bacon!), the Reuben is my fav. Back in my Air Force days when I was traveling a lot, I used to be on a quest to find the best Reuben. It was a big letdown when I actually did. Best Reuben I even ate was in a hotel restaurant in Tacoma. It was off the hook awesome! I still order a Reuben when I can, but nothing has even come close to that one. Even worse, I've never had the chance to go back.

I voted BLT but unless it is tomato season, I'm with you on the gyro. MMMMM spit roasted lamby goodness with creamy tzatziki on warm pita. But when tomatoes are in season, a nice BLT is just about the perfect sandwich for me. Nice fresh bread, lightly toasted, some of my homemade basil mayo, bright red vine-ripened tomatoes from the garden, fresh cripy lettuce, nice thick slabs of crispy hardwood bacon... Is it late summer yet?
Monte Cristo!
You don't know how ecstatic I am just to see that Banh Mi was an option!
Roast beef with muenster cheese, shredded lettuce on a hero with pepper.
I have to bring up the Cuban! I voted grilled cheese but the Cuban is a wonderful sandwich.
Muffuletta
Philly cheese steak. Just sayin.
Dagwood!~
Late summer when the tomatos are fresh nothing beats a BLT.
Cuban
Grilled cheese with pickles in it.
Gyro with feta cheese.
Pinecrest: Thinly-sliced leftover prime rib warmed on the flat-top grill with mushrooms, two kinds of cheese, and served with a side of au jus. (yes, like a cheesesteak, but without those awful peppers and onions)
Beef on Weck with Miller's horseradish.
A club sandwich from room service is my favorite choice at a hotel! Thumbs up to the fried bologna supporters. Make mine a little crispy with some lettuce and mayo...MMM!
Monte Cristo
Cubano. What are you, racist?
A Mutton Lettuce and Tomato Sandwich, where the mutton is nice and lean...
loststream wrote:MEATBALL SANDWICH for the win!!!
Indeed. One meatball sub to rule them all.
Cuban Midnight (Medianoche) Sandwich "This is one of the more famous sandwiches straight out of the island of Cuba." * Pork * Swiss cheese * Thinly sliced ham Pickles, mustard, mayo all on buttered sweet bread. WOW, yum !!!
Seriously, it's just about anything with bacon on it. Bacon makes the world go 'round.

and the tomato is ripe. They're so perky, I love that! :D
Banh Mi is a generic term for several types of sandwich Woot. Get your cultural references straight eh?
