Been using this stuff all my life. Carmex works best in my view. When a cold sore starts Blistex would be my second choice.

They got bought out a few years ago by Chlorox Co. They changed the formulas of a lot of the products and sadly not for the better. Maybe they changed the lip stuff you are using ?--- they seem to have a variety of them now. They did before they sold out too, but now.... they are different ones.
I used to love some of the lotions, but now they stink. As in smell really bad.

Natural Ice Cherry flavored. First it burns but then your lips feel glorious. I'm so addicted that I can't find it in stores now so I buy in bulk on drugstore.com.
