Tell me about it, I'm in a similar situation. Turns out that despite being told by woot on the 24th that my order shipped, it really hadn't. It seems, according to woot, since I used my PO box address (which I have for all my woot orders), the vendor has to ship my order to woot offices in Texas first, then woot sends it back out to me. As it stands, I'm not going to see my headphones till August 3rd at best....16 days after ordering. So much for 'multiple warehouses across the country' to ship from.
I've never, ever heard of this nonsense. With FedEx SmartPost, as this package was sent, it starts the journey with FedEx ground, then it gets passed off to the local / regional USPS sort center for final USPS delivery. Never have I had to go through this BS, and I order enough online to know that this simply doesn't make sense.
If the item could not be delivered to a PO box, like some large or heavy items (even woot specifies this restriction on some items), I should have been told upfront...and could have given an alternate address. Amazon and all other vendors that I buy from do this...
Yeah, I'm ticked at the delay and this dishonesty regarding the shipping status. Really gonna have to think twice about ordering here again.
