If there is fecal, there was no misadventure.
Unless I stepped in it.
Or it was really soft and on someone's lawn.

Age is not a factor back here. More old farts than young whippersnappers.

Neighbors evidently just bought a new refrigerator and stove. I assume they didn't want to pay for delivery, so they rented a Home Depot truck to bring it home. I wonder how much money they saved.

Well, another day has passed and I didn't use algebra once.

But the boxes are the cool perk! I still remember when my grandma got a new fridge, we played in that box for well over a month!

Might not have come with boxes, could have just been wrapped. Could be a floor model too.

Yep, boxes are the best for maybe 7 and under?

Oh I think it goes better than that. My soon to be 8 year old wouldn't shun a box. Of course after a while they stop being the gate to adventure and turn into the private escape zone.

I wasn't allowed to play in boxes. My mom thought they were dangerous.
Some crap about cars hitting them and killing you.
Like there was a car in the basement or yard.

You can just rent a Home Depot truck by the hour. The fridge and stove could be from anywhere.

When I was but a nipper both me and my friends used cardboard boxes to sled down grassy hills. I can't remember the fort thing.

But as a random middle aged bloke I would love to introduce kids to sledding down hills in boxes.

The dog isn't talking to me because I won't play or walk with him.

4 more days.

Then a week of normal.

Then he goes to the vet or the "pet resort" while we are on vacation.

Then maybe he needs an operation with more house arrest..

This is going to be an interesting month.

Plus I suddenly realized that tomorrow is 9/11 and woot is running that crap contest.
Seems wrong.
Especially since my FDNY brother in law 's(hubby's sister's husband) sister is posting pictures that he must have taken at ground zero that day, on her facebook page.

I never knew there were pictures.

He was in his 40's, so he lived. It was the young guys running up the building that died.
He is sick, but not cancer. Yet.
His brother and neighbor were also FDNY. They went together. They all came home that night. They are all sick now, but not cancer. Lung stuff.

Plus, it was an absolutely beautiful day today. Just like on 9/11. That was an amazingly nice day. Made nice weather a little scary for awhile after that.

Yeah, running the contest tomorrow is wrong.

Agreed, but life goes on.
9/11 is a difficult day for me personally.
The subsequent events lead me to live in Texas.

I think I may stay offline tomorrow (today for you all)... it's getting ugly on my facebook feed already. Not that it will go away after 9-11, but at least they won't be using a tragedy as a stepping stone, I hope.

(This statement is intended as a-political - even though at the time of posting it's more one sided, I have no doubt that there is plenty of time for the crap scales of nastiness to balance)

Pelley: You were part of the team that killed Osama bin Laden and the first thing you do when you get back to the United States is go to Taco Bell?

Bissonnette: Two tacos and a bean burrito. It's routine.

Even I know, no person or event messes with military rituals, no matter how silly they seem.

Morning all.

I think I'll walk to the bus early. It's jacket weather so I can take my Kindle with (because I can stash it in my jacket when I get to the school - otherwise the kids would mess with it.)

Wow riviting.

I'm freezing... time to adjust to fall weather. Gave up and turned the furnace on, which is annoying the crud out of Ver3, he doesn't like it. We only tend to run it in the fall, then it's only a backup to the wood heat.

Ack I need to finish clearing the boxes in the living room!!!!
