useful linkage blog is in the hizzy tonight... sorry i missed the discussion yesterday... had stuff... anyways... this woot is ight.

I do a daily woot blog where I talk about the woot, link to CSEs, find reviews, etc. A few people have told me it's useful. Google "useful linkage" and there it is.

Nice price when compaired, But I personally do not like tv's with built in dvd players. Horrible when 1 or the other dies.

my personal experience is that these break a lot. i bought a similar item from circuit city and have used the extended warranty twice now in 8 months.
great price though - mine was around $300 for a 15"

Amen to that. Never buy combination components. You get screwed when one or the other dies, or just buy the fact that at least one of the components is pretty cheaply made. Much better off buying seperate pieces.

Am I missing something. The little cutsie descrip even mentions Gov'ts demand to require HDTVs, yet this is a "HDTV" with built in NTSC TV Tuner? What gives!

Bah, it's ok. I see no reason to buy a HDTV without the HD Tuner, and I'm addicted to my 1080p Samsung now...I could never settle for a 720.

Lots of the guys i know get a 15"-20" screen and put it next to their computers. They use it as extra comp screen space or watch online tv with it. In a dorm room you can use it to watch DVDs through your computer or just play video games with it. If you have limited space, it's perfect for decking yourself out just at your desk, seeing as how your proximity is much closer than normal.

Tongue firmly in cheek. Digital is what the govt' is pushing, not HD.

1366×768 (720p)

When did 768 become equal to 720? Looks like an opportunity for another low quality re-sizing chip to distort everything you want to watch.

Pass, night all.

Regardless, you need an ATSC tuner to watch even "digital" tv, regardless of HD or not.
Anywho, this probably was manufactured before the "digital tuner manufacturing deadline" (or whatever) that Uncle Sam put in place.

There is NO over the air programming or on cable in 1080p. It's all in 720p or 1080i. Just remember any HDTV can't produce a better picture than the source....!

Slow down there! Studies show sex life goes down significantly when a TV is introduced into the bedroom!

Most likely but check with Toshiba for the bracket to make the mounting easier...before you buy. Of course, anything is wall mountable if you customize the wall and support hardware....

I don't know. $350 for a TV the size of a computer screen with no HD tuner and is a refurb (rox0rz!). Doesn't seem like the best idea to me.

I wonder if these units have been refurbed to include an ATSC tuner. The FCC Report and Order FCC-05-190A1 )REQUIRES that ALL televisions have an ATSC tuner as of March 1. 2007
From FCC-05-190A1
"By this action, the Commission is modifying its rules to advance the date on which new television receivers with screen sizes 13-24” and certain other TV receiving devices such as VCRs and digital video recorders must include the capability to receive broadcast digital television signals from the current date of July 1, 2007 to March 1, 2007. ........"
