Actually, I didn't care much for the film when I first saw it. But I'm starting to warm up to it. The casting was actually pretty good. I didn't care for the "so long and thanks for the fish" opening number, though. As with most movies, the book is still better than the movie. There's just some humorous content and descriptions in Adams' books that simply cannot be translated to film. Haven't experienced the BBC miniseries though I've been curious about it for years.
