I decided to find out what was going on 500 years ago to get ideas about the kinds of changes that occurred. A quick search brought up Wikipedia which has a page for every century. I started with the 15th century to examine the goings on during the latter part of that century. I was amazed at the first entry, "Timur sacks Baghdad." Talk about deja vu! [Or is it presque vu?]

I looked up Timur just to see if the parallel would continue and found this, "Thus, while Timur remains a hero of sorts in Central Asia, he is vilified by many in Arab, Persian and Indian societies."

[Can you hear eerie, OOoooooooEEeeeeeeeOOooooo, music in the background???]

isn't it amazing how woot's webpage layout hasn't changed in over 500 years?

Figure I'd give it a shot.
