Their FAQ says it's usually five days a week, which I did not realize. Probably because I see it during weekend woot-offs. Still, they have seemed quieter lately, haven't they?

If they're like the ones that came with my Coby-branded one, think dollar store.
Not a deal I haven't bathed in days!, though. I almost never use the buds that come with stuff, anyway.

Nothing I have on hand has worked with Vista yet, and it's mostly recent stuff. I wouldn't be surprised if this didn't either.

You'll probably have to duct tape them together eventually, anyway.

Good point.
The lady next door leaves the keys in her pink Mary Kay Cadillac all the time and it's still there.
Hmmm.
"Feature," huh?
You must be either a marketer or a software maker by trade. :-)
I hear that almost every day.

Nah, I work for a hospital to deal with all the "Undocumented Features" that come in medical software. <think bugs>

Yeah! A pair of cheap MP3 players: And in girly pink, no less!

I have about 2G of tunes on my hard drive, about 1,000 songs: This should hold about half my collection, easily enough tunes to get me through my workouts without having to hear the same songs over and over. And AAA's are cheap to replace.

Only thing I'm wondering about, will this work on a standard USB, if I don't have a USB 2.0 port? Will it just be slower? And if I do need a 2.0 port, how much will one run me?

yes it will work with usb 1.0 it will be slow to transfer songs. you can get a usb 2.0 pci card at newegg.com best place to be looking for computer hardware.

from everything i've ever used, if a USB 2.0 device in an older port, it still works. It just says it can work faster in a 2.0 port.

Not getting the pink MP3's but do agree with the complaints/suggestions of some who find your verbosity a bit much at times. Give me the details of what it is your selling first and then you can go on to wax poetic for as many pages as you want. Not everyone who purchases is a tech geek and would like some useful info on the actual product....isnt that shocking! So, I vote for 'just the facts, ma'am' BEFORE you move on to 'Ramblin Man'.

Well maybe ill leave one in each of their cars just to annoy them. dude, people will think they have a pink mp3 player.....bhwhahahahahaHAHAHAHA11!!!

Oh man, you shouldn't have suggested that. I keep a cheapie MP3 player in my car, one in my purse, and one for my desk at work. (The expensive ones stay safely at home.) Both mine and my husband's vehicles have a connection for my players ...

Now I think I have to buy this just so I can have an extra cheapie and leave one in my husband's big tricked-out Jeep Wrangler. HA!

I hate to badmouth my own kin here, but Macintosh people aren't known for reading all the documentation, ya know? I'm a tri-platform guy, so I can see this kind of problem coming, but there are more than zero people who'd say, "What do you mean, the disc is too small to come back out?!"

My 12" Powerbook spits out the mini CD's too, but I think that it's probably when it tastes windows drivers... It's likely that the CD is not needed. And if it is, copy the contents on a desktop, put it on the mp3 player and load it from there.... It will show up ad a storage device without any software. Or, burn it to a CD (like you would do of you were going to put .M4p iTunes music onto an mp3 player. My guess is that the software is some mickey-mouse drag & drop window that might try and get you to join Napster or some other service. On that sized CD it's probably very small.

as a college-bound student, i def. have the need to have an MP3 player because, hey, you've got to have some tunes to keep you awake in the middle of class. so, I see this great deal, and as i am about to go get my PayPal info, I slap myself for almost buying not one, but two pink players. I may be in need, but not that bad.

Super excited about this woot. Everything I have ordered so far, awesome! So it's pink, there are days I don't like the stuff featured. I think it's time to shut up and stop with the giraffe-like "pink" comments. It's a good thing to have some stuff for girl wooters and girl wooters that like pink.

It will work fine. This is likely not the fastest. My Sony NW-S705 has a setting to pick between high speed and slow USB, which is handy because I use a PC with USB 1.0 to transfer songs (because of the *&%$(*&^ SonicStage software that needs XP to crawl along) and it's not a huge deal unless you are swapping the whole thing at once. USB devices all work with one another, but at the speed of the slowest device.

If this were a 20GB player, that might be a concern, but at 512mb - you are not likely to change all the songs at once. I had a 20 GB USB 1.0 Drive and survived it. It makes one more selective of what gets transfered.
