My theory is this: Soda Pop is the full name, you don't call things by their last name (pop) generally people go by their first name (Soda) Thus, soda is clearly soda.

(: hehe

"Upstate NY" is a misunderstood term. Most people will mean "Upstate NY" to mean that part above NYC but below and including Orange County.

Anyway, people in Western NY call soda "Pop"...it's big in Rochester and Buffalo...Wegman's country. Central NY calls it Soda, as down downstate and NYC.

Seriously, this guy is a huge tool. Normal people don't care that much about the pretty pole vaulter girl who just turned 18 so the pervs who stalk her feel justified in drooling all over the pictures of the kind of girl they will never get, because they are too freaking creepy.

Never wooting again. I've learned my lesson about inferior customer service and employees that illegally modify your signature (18 U.S.C. § 1029). Grow up, woot. (Edit of Mod edit: I am telling the truth about you modifying my signature to slander me. I am not attacking people. You dont qualify as "people" until you call me back and I hear a voice on the phone, then we can discuss how your employees are harassing me.) Still no response Since December 2010.

Staff

Just to head off any potential issues:

When the unit is initially taken out of the box, the toggle switch on the back is turned on and the unit sits with light blinking for a minute and then the screen comes on an the Windows Boot up screen says loading for 2-5 minutes. Once the boot up happens, the screen turns off and the light blinks red. At this point, you can hit the power button and the screen comes on and is ready to use.

So long as you never flip the toggle switch on the back of the unit to the off position, this issue never repeats itself, because when you turn the unit off using the power button on the front, the unit just goes into "sleep" mode. When you push the power button on the front again, it "wakes" the unit up.

If you turn the toggle switch on the back off and back on, the unit goes through the initial boot up again, taking 4-6 minutes to initiate

Did you know shirt.woot ships internationally? Get you some!

Mine powered on and works great so far, considering I don't have TV or Internet hookups yet.

Anyone find a compatible wireless card for this yet? I found a few that "supposedly" work with Windows CE.NET but none cheap enough to risk trying. The original "Beyond Wireless" card for it appears to be out of production (and not on eBay)

I got mine up and running with the internet only to find that you cannot upgrade the IE beyond 5.5. Microsoft upgrade site says that it is not a windows OS and redirects you to their MAC app site. There you will find out that they stopped supporting IE for this operating system back in 2003. This is a problem as many sites need at least 6.0.

BTW i have the PCM 352 card. It recongnized by router but as usual with wireless I was having security issues so I ended up getting a powerline ethernet bridge which set up in seconds. (I am finding wireless to be a big pain in the a$$)

I have applied the Beyond upgrade that you can get from their website. It will allow you to remote desktop to one of your other machinces so you can get around the internet limitations that way.

Can you post the link to the upgrade? I've been trying to register with them for weeks, their registration site is never up.
