Summer is finally here and that can mean only one thing: It's movie blockbuster season! This year we are overrun with sequels as--much like a woot-off--Hollywood banks on easy money with sure-thing repeats. So why should this week's Dodgeball contest be any different? That's right my friends, we're having another movie-themed contest!
In an effort to boost revenues by sheer hundreds of dollars, major motion picture studios are wooing woot.com, pitching the company with ideas to collaborate on next summer's hits with a minimum of 51% new material. What goodness do we have in store one year from now? That, dear choppers, is your task for this week:
Create a movie sequel with a twist of woot.
For example, you could make Multiplicity 2, where Jason Toon copies himself a few times, so he only has to write a blog once every four days, and only has to come up with a Photoshop contest once a month. Or perhaps you would produce iRobot II: Rise of the Roombas. One thing's for certain, whoever doesn't green light Dark Water 2: Curse of the Leak Frog, is sure to be looking for a job next summer.
Use whatever you got to make your entry (yes, even MS Paint, mr. no1), but it must be viewable in this forum in .jpg, .gif, or .png format. For the sake of people still using 13-inch monitors set at 800x600 pixels resolution, please make your images no wider than 500 pixels. You have until 11:59 PM CST on Wednesday, June 27, 2007 to post your entries. Votes will then be accepted via PM to me for 24 hours following the deadline. The winners will be posted some time on Friday.
