Didn't the novelty of these wear off in, like, 2003? What about the gas-powered robotic mower? Now that was interesting.....

like i said before... i love roombas and always will... if personally think everyone should have one.. check useful linkage on the blog... if you need help deciding.

I do a daily woot blog where I talk about the woot, link to CSEs, find reviews, etc. A few people have told me it's useful. Google "useful linkage" and there it is.

No, not as long as people keeping buying them. Make the purchase and then you will have four. At least you will have quad reduncancy just in case the first three break down... It seems to me YOU are part of the multiplying factor with your complaint if you have three... Just hire a vac consultant and you will be all set.

Same thing here...click "I want One" and nothing happens. I have bought before and this time is different. Oh, well. Maybe one Roomba is enough. But, the one I have had died and I had hoped to buy a second to run while I send the original in under warranty for repair.

I have the Sage. Haven't used it on cement, but I don't guess it would work too well to get up pet hair, unless the cement is really smooth. I know at some time iRobot was selling a Discovery with pet hair attachments. You might give that a look.

I am able to get to the checkout screen, you may need to be logged in first?

If you are a new user you may have to REGISTER first. Woot recently made some changes to their privacy policy, so they make you agree to them before you can buy anything, even if you are already a member, so make sure you login at the homepage before trying to checkout as well.

first, make sure you're logged in.

second, keep trying. I just got a server error when posting a comment, so there may be a problem with the hamsters that power the servers...

try again in a few minutes. I bought two roombas off woot! and love both of them. I have one for upstairs (all carpet) and one downstairs (carpet, linoleum, and hardwood.) They do a great job - you won't be disappointed!

Too late to do you any good this time, but our Roomba does a fantastic job on Pergo, tile and marble getting up beagle and cat hair. To keep the place reasonably clean we need to run it every other day in the living room where most of the hair accumulates but it does a better job than we were ever able to do with a vacuum cleaner, brushes, etc. That funky little edge brush gets dirt out of the corners like a miracle.

I bought this same model from Woot a couple of months ago & love it - We have 2 dogs, a Beagle and a Schnauzer & ceramic tile floors that show every hair. The dogs pretty much ignore it (it bumps into the Beagle every once in a while), although they do take note if we put one of their toys on top & run it around using the remote.

We run it downstairs daily, and collect enough shed-hair to build a new dog every few weeks. This is without the "pet kit", although there is an upgraded brush and cleaning tool you can add if you want. It runs impressively on carpet as well, although not as well as our Dyson (also from Woot). The wife also loves it, but has asked me to stop buying so many vaccums online.

The Dirt Dog is specifically designed for concrete. You can use a Roomba on concrete, but it will require extra cleaning EVERY time you use it, probably making it not worth the extra effort.

This Thread deals specifically with using a Roomba on concrete floors, and some of the pros and cons involved.

Well.. I'm down for one. I've been needing a vacuum and I missed the Dyson during the Woot off and my floors can't wait any longer. The "ribs factor" also helped. Maybe I'll get a Dyson also, I could use a super vac!

They work good and are kind of fun. You have to pick up the floor first and clear any electrical cords. Down side is emptying the dirt and cleaning the filter every other cleaning, and the virtual walls send out a spreading IR pattern that makes it hard to keep romba where you want him. He does not transition well from hard floors to carpet, so if you have many places like that you may have to get creative with chairs, pillows skateboards, whatever, to keep him on the carpet (he won't return). Overall it does a great job cleaning though!

I wouldn't worry about it too much. Even though the price is very good, Woot almost never runs out when they offer a Roomba, so if you have trouble ordering now, you should have no problems placing your order in the morning.

My "I want one" (button) worked. But I don't want another one. Yet, mine is still slaving away. Just like the oven on TV, Just set it and forget it.
When it peters out, it docks itself and recharges .
Must clean after every use or it will wear out faster.
The 2 fences it has will not let it go out of room or wherever you set them. When it docks itself, it also turns the fences off which are run by 2 D-cell batteries.
I love you man.
