Wootalyzer's Pricing Post! - Saving Woot prices for decades to come------------------------------------------------------------Each night at 12:00, the price of the old Woot item mysteriously goes missing -- forever. What happens to this price, you may ask? According to our "highly-accredited" sources, the Russian mafia has hacked Woot's servers and permanantly erases the price each night! MWAHAHA! But Wootalyzer is here to help! Our Woot-Security System 2000 stores the price on our multiple secure servers, SAFE from those crazy Russian hackers! Oh wait... maybe that's not completely true. By "Crazy Russian Hackers," perhaps I meant to say "Crazy Woot Development Monkies." And by "Woot-Security System 2000," perhaps I meant to say "Forum Post." Meh, Close Enough.------------------------------------------------------------Targus Universal Notebook Dock with Video$24.99 + $5 ShippingCondition: RefurbishedProduct List:- 1 Targus Universal Notebook Dock with Video ACP50US*DISCLAIMER* Wootalyzer! is in no way affiliated with Woot!, and this post may not always be here!
sunday... so i'm keepin' it light... check useful linkage for the comparison links... and then go to bed... cuz i don't think this woot is worth staying up any longer for... hehe... just kidding... its awesome... do it.
will this work with my thinkpad x41 tablet? the ultrabase is too expensive for me.
Whoa, wait, is Woot making fun of Joss Whedon's Firefly? Woot's about to lose a customer...
Targus universal. I never trust their idea of universal. Would rather specific models be listed. Anyone have a link ?
Well, this might be useful if your laptop doesn't have a custom docking station. It seems like you'd get a lot of slowdown filtering all your peripherals through a single USB port...
Hey now, Firefly isn't poorly written!
What, exactly, does this do? I'm not a technerd, therefore I'm lost on this stuff.
How does this fit all laptops? Is this a quality product? Targus seems to be good quality for cheap prices. At least all of the products that I own from them are pretty good.
If I use this, then connect to my desktop (which is connected to my printer), will I be able to print things from my laptop without problems?

Yes, I agree, Firefly is pure sci-fi gold!
Agreed, social services needs to take that octopus away from a clearly dysfunctional household.
Yeah, lay off the Firefly, that hurts. Bad enough they cancelled it...
Uhhh... Typo? # Power Ports: Two power ports provide twice as much power (1,000 mA) as standard USB ports – Always On: Power ports remain powered even when notebook is shut down or disconnected (perfect for recharging mice, phones and other devices) # Adapter Friendly USB Ports: USB ports are double spaced to accommodate larger adapters Power ports remain powered even when notebook is shut down or disconnected (perfect for recharging mice, phones and other devices)
This deal is AWESOME...When I come home..i take the laptop and plug in my monitor, keyboard, mouse, printer, and other items...you can basically turn your laptop into a desktop by plugging in one USB cable ....most i have seen has been over a hundred bucks
Hey we got a movie, remember? I think that's as good as it'll get....
Is this device about as stupid as the previous "run everything through a single USB port" they were selling perhaps 6 months ago?

How is it compare to somthing like this? Long eBay links for the lose
*Goes and watches Serenity..* If this was OSX Mac compatialbe (Which it isn't), Then I would consider..
yeah i have had three of these, all three had problems covered under warrenty. after the third time, i said f- it and got a different one. worst purchase i have ever made. this is not even good enough for the bag of criznap.
Can I attach two external monitors to my laptop using this hub and my built-in VGA port while extending my desktop ( not mirroring ).
What's everybody's fav. Firefly episode?
Firefly not well written!? You're lucky I love you so much, woot...

I always liked Jaynestown
Some reviews @ Newegg
Would woot if its supported Macs, which doesn't seem to be the case c/o its description.
Right here http://www.targus.com/us/product_details.asp?sku=ACP50US
Works with Vista (driver download at end of manufacturer page), but not with 64-bit. http://www.targus.com/us/product_details.asp?sku=ACP50US Where's the beef?
hard to choose, but I'm gonna say Our Mrs. Reynolds, because it has a couple of my favorite Firefly moments in it.
I was tempted until I read the reviews on Amazon: Amazon link
WINDOWS 2000 SP4 is a requirement - MAN this is a SERIOUSLY OLD unit. USB 1.0 perhaps??? WTH do you do with 16 bit color?????????????????? That is SO early 90's Crappy gear - cheap price though.
firefly was very well written. anyone who think otherwise is in a heapin' passel o' trouble.
Great concept but the product is not very good. The Video through USB just doesn't function properly. I almost bought one, but then a buddy who works at the local best buy pointed me to their "returns" pile for the week... about 1/4 of all products returned were this stupid docking station. Sad. I remember when Targus was a respected name in the industry - now they have hit-or-miss quality.
Woot, you're posting to a flock of geeks and insulting Firefly? Come on now. We're your target market, Woot.

Why even run vista if not on 64bit ?
I'm digging the Whedon love in the forum Did you all get your Serenity Collector's Edition that came out this week? And to stay on topic, I am tempted to woot this but I'd really like to see a built in fan in a unit like this, not just elevation. Anyone know if Targus makes anything close?

Yeah that episode really encapsulated the "Western" aspect of FF, good guys, bad guys, some horses, lasers...
16-bit color max?!? CRAPPITY CRAP CRAP!

No, I haven't bought it yet. What are the extra features on it like? Any good?
