Nice cheap price, good functional unit conveniently runs on an aaa cell, supports USB mass storage. Kind of slow to boot up and the UI is a bit clumsy but the audio is fine. I listen to mine at the office and when the battery runs down I just pop in another one (AAA NiMH rechargeable) and eventually get around to recharging the spent one. I'd never buy an ipod. I'm tempted to buy a few of these as gifts, since they're so cheap, but I have a few spare mp3 players already.

Not sure if they every sold a Sansa refurb (rox0rz!), but they do sell refurbs of other mp3 players. i used to work there for a while. They had some refurb (rox0rz!) ipod shuffles that wouldent sell.

You can't beat $17 shipped for a 1gb MP3 Player, really.

If anything; get it for the FM tuner! Or the voice recorder!

Look at it as "pre-disastered". If they have to be refurbed, then that means whatever went wrong with them originally, will probably go wrong with the brand-new one you buy for twice the price. And you STILL have to send it in and get it refurbed... Doesn't seem logical.

Still need a good woot checker with sound - the 2 given a while ago are not working good enough and no sound :P

I got one to work out with. Will still ue my phone as the primary Mp3 player but with this i can take it to the gym and choose to listen to my music or to the tv's that they have set up to broadcast over fm..
