If you're looking for a good quality MP3 player for dirt cheap, buy this one. Seriously. It doesn't have a fancy LCD screen, doesn't play videos, blah blah blah, but it does an extremely good job of being a basic music player. It's compatible with the subscription services at Rhapsody, Napster, etc, so you can pay a monthly fee to transfer as many songs as you want to the device. Rhapsody is like $15 a month for this service.

Anyway, even if you just want something to listen to your current collection, this is an excellent deal. It connects to USB like a standard USB flash drive, you just copy over the songs, and you're done.

Runs on a AAA battery, which is fantastic because you don't have to worry about a Li-ion battery that will eventually degrade and need to be replaced, or have to deal with a dead battery when you want to listen to your music. Just pop in a new AAA and you're all set. I have the M250 (the 2GB version of the same player), and it's great. I have 4 AAA Ni-MH batteries that I cycle in this thing, and each one gets me over 12 HRs of playback.

Awesome deal. If i didn't already have two MP3 players I'd jump all over three of these. Even if one dies you've got two backups for an amazing price, and although 1GB is becoming obsolete, that's still many hours of music, way more than enough for a long trip.

Seems like a good price. The fm tuner sweetens the deal. Great for using at the gym. My ipod is great, but no fm tuner in that - all the tv's in the gym have fm sound broadcasts so I was going to get a 3rd -party one.. This is something I would not miss if it gets lost or stolen.
