This is not a football post....you can safely ignore it
Actually it is only marginally a sports post...
The nuns should put a curse on the team if he is fired!
His sister (the sister) was principle of my grade school. (not when I was there, when I was in 6th grade, my teacher, the nun, was Torre's sister the nun's, best friend.
When ever he was playing in NY, the two nuns would go to the game and always make it onto TV or the newspaper!
My teacher had a "curse box" on the desk. Anyone who was bad or cursed in class, had to put a quarter in the box! That is how they paid for the tickets.
Right before a game.....cursing was almost encouraged if she didn't have enough money!
Oh, wait, this is a football thread....I guess I will never get to tell how the girls got gypped on our 8th grade school trip.
OK, I'll tell...
The boys got to go to Shea Stadium because Torre's team was playing the Mets that week.
They got to go into the dugout and locker room and on the field!
The girls went to the main convent for the Nuns, which is on the water on LI.
We went swimming.
I don't follow sports, but I rather have the ball park! The convent is still there. Getting on the field and locker room was a once in a lifetime thing.
