these suck. I got three of them from a wootoff a couple months back and they don't work for frozen banana stick. they stop functioning after an hour.

tested on three different computers, 2k/xp - doesn't matter. they just suck.

Depends on what model/type of Tivo you have I believe this works with 1st gen Tivo's check Tivo's page for compatibility Tivo.com

It won't do any good to use this with TiVO series 2. I've got the 56Mbps version of this, and it works fine. It's slow, either way. At this price, it's worth a try I guess.

Yes, but for whom? I suppose I could hook one to my 64MB laptop with a 2.3GIG drive, but I don't think the laptop could handle the excitement.

I have one of these. It gets hot and disconnects itself, and you have to unplug and plug back in to reestablish connection. A real hassle if you want to run from rear USB ports. To be fair, it only happens under heavy load. Usually just doing email is OK, but it's pretty unpredictable.

Meh they're cheap. I bought two to play around with.

I'm using this right now and have not had a single moment of trouble with it. Owned it for over a year and it has been reliable. At 10 bucks, its a bargain.

Won't work with a Mac either. I've not gotten it to pick up any decent signals, when my laptop w/ integrated wireless picked up 6 right next to it, nor could I get it to put out enough of a signal for said laptop to pick it up.
