UPDATE: Atomic Watch - SIMA RCW 102 (actually a RCW 101).

Mine came 'DOA' more like DB (dead battery), anyway I changed the battery and it seems to be working fine...at least for now. The test comes at 3am when it's supposed to communicate with the NIST signal and 'set' itself to the correct time. We will see.

funny side note about the watch is that the band was on upside down.

replace the '{' with '[' below

Adding an image to a post
phpBB BBCode incorporates a tag for including images in your posts. Two very important things to remember when using this tag are: many users do not appreciate lots of images being shown in posts and second, the image you display must already be available on the Internet (it cannot exist only on your computer, for example, unless you run a webserver!). There is currently no way of storing images locally with phpBB (all these issues are expected to be addressed in the next release of phpBB). To display an image, you must surround the URL pointing to the image with {img]{/img] tags. For example:

{img]http://www.phpbb.com/images/phplogo.gif{/img]

As noted in the URL section above you can wrap an image in a tag if you wish, eg.

{url=http://www.phpbb.com/]{img]http://www.phpbb.com/images/phplogo.gif{/img]{/url]

well, I got.... crap!

2 iguys (for ipod minis)
1 batman soap
3 easyfit logitech headphones connectors
1 frog water leak detector
1 backpack

Of course none of this I can possibly use (well, maybe the soap), but it was still fun I guess. All in all I probably got $5 worth if stuff, which factoring in shipping means I just about broke even. Woot still probably made out though (which they said they would, so no hard feelings there).

Oh woot. You funny, funny woot. Got my crap today. Last one really was c-r_a+p so I had high hopes for something better this time.

Well.... I got my red backpack, black snack daddy ufo and a junior executive attache toy, then, THEN.....

Could it be? YES! A Yukai PVR-H240 personal media center as seen here:

http://www.woot.com/Blog/BlogEntry.aspx?BlogEntryId=2541

Woo hoo! Excitement fills the house for every bit of 5 minutes, then I remember... this is woot.

Wife grabs the box and opens it. Definitely used, she says, while pointing out a large dent/gash on one corner where it's obviously been dropped from an altitude no electronic device should ever be dropped from.

She digs further and finds a scuzzy set of in-the-ear headphones that really, really look used. While she's throwing the ear plugs across the room and throwing up in her mouth, I try to turn the unit on. We have picture! Woohoo again! An EA (electronics arts?) frame from one of their football games. Go Green Bay Packers!

Then "initializing" appears at the top, and stays, and stays, and stays some more, until the unit eventually turns itself off. I go through this process several times while trying to press buttons to keep it from timing out. Also tried the whole paperclip reset several times.

Meanwhile, back at the box my wife has found the power adapter. Hey, this looks funny. Uh, it wouldn't if we were in Europe. It's one of their plugs. Then, putting two and two together, she mumbles something about French ear wax.

Web has been no help and it's getting late so I'll have to play another day. Not a lot of hope, but even if this is a brick, still... BEST WOOT CRAP EVER. Thanks woot!

p.s. My wife also thanks you for not sending another Rat Fink.

(my apologies to all French wooters - it was just the first country that came to mind - really, I'm sure your ear wax is lovely)

Woohoo!

Just got my Bandolier of Carrots...
The red / black backpack
Miami Vice car
patty tray
And a Archos PMA430.

The unit screens have no 'words' - only squares. So like what I'm guessing should say video just shows blank squares in place of letters. I tried the PMA400 Recovery from http://www.archos.com/support/download/software.html?country=us&lang=en , but no go.

EDIT: After my 3rd reinstall, it's up and running, and now even with OpenPMA!

I think I'm going to refer to the BOC as a Box Of Cats. The reason being that it reminds me of Schrodenger's cat: Inside is the there is the possibility of crap or treasure and it won't be cast in stone until we look.

Anyway our Bag O' Cats was exactly par:

    - Qty: 1 Red/Black LBOD (lead backpack of doom)
    - Qty: 1 Dead Battery (or DOA) timer of the Atomic Age Watch
    - Qty: 1 Who's your Snac-Daddy (Noir)
    - Qty: 1 Rat Fink Bobble-Head car dashboard Air Freshener (for use next to Hula Girls and Mary)
    - Qty: 1 Silica packet (eddible)
    - Qty: 1 Woot box filled with dashed hopes and withered dreams

Certainly worth $8

My first Blinged-Out Cabbage (woohoo):

Standard issue red and black backpack
Standard issue SnakDaddy (Black)
Standard issue Rat Fink air freshener
Navman R-300 sports GPS speed and distance thingie

The Navman thingie only seems to display in Klingonese though I haven't really fooled around with it much but I suspect the display is faulty but at least it turns on.

I tried that...no luck...I've also spent much of the night taking it apart and trying to diagnose the problem...there's a short somewhere, but I need my multimeter and torx fittings to get closer to the answer. I'm also following a How-To describing how to improve the wi-fi by replacing the antenna.

When I got home from work yesterday, there was a HUGE box on my porch. I didn't remember ordering anything that large lately...and then it hit me....it must be my CRAP!!!

So what could be in a box like that? Certainly not a tv...and it was heavy...maybe a Robosapien? I opened the box and saw the 'Bag' part of my Blinged Out Cabbage....and then I saw this:

Another box!!! and it's the right size for a Roomba!!! Yeah!!! That's when I took the box out and found this:

So....what did I get? What was in the box?

1 - Red Backpack
1 - SnacDaddy tray
1 - Sima Radio Controlled Watch (battery not included)
1 - Disguise kit
1 - Gourmet Coffee Cafe' (and yes, the coffe, tea AND espresso pod holders were missing)

While it was not a Roomba, I still think I made out pretty sweet. I'm going to look and see if I can find the pod holders anywhere...or if any of you got the pod holders and no machine, I'd be more than willing to pay you the cost of your crap to get them.

Thank you Woot!
