They'll automatically be converted by the ZUNE software...

As mentioned on the main page, the people who ordered brown Zunes for $80 a couple weeks ago got black Zunes and a travel pack instead because they ran out. Woot took care of their customers, but now its starting to get ridiculous.

I'm starting to feel like I'll never know when to buy something from woot anymore, because in a couple more weeks it'll be even cheaper. Small price drops a month or more part is totally understandable, but this is getting ridiculous.

Its not even the price drop that bothers me, its the price drop AND free item that gets to me.

Will I stop buying from woot? Probably not, but I thought woot was more honorable than this.

really, the write-up tells the story. see those links? with capitalism comes nasty little things like competition and price pressure - such horrible forces you know. maybe we should include a bucket of sand - people could stick their heads in it when temporary price erosion occurs.

Around 30 minutes, but if the original file is 512kbs or higher the resulting ZUNE/WMV video really looks great!

Note: and will be of a much smaller files size...

stupid question on the surface but you never know with r3furbz:

Does this ship "Zune only" or with the usb connector cable for syncing. The specs only mention "USB 2.0 interface."

I picked one up to replace my ailing Creative Zen, just wondering if i need to buy the cable too. thanks.

If someone has mentioned anything similar, I apologize. I'm just too tired to read through 6 pages of posts.

Bargincell sells an AC and DC adapter - separate items - for $3.69. Shipping was about $5. Power problem solved... for me and my hubby with our new Zunes I guess. Reasonable cases are darn cheap, but those shipping costs are beastly

Now if I can just figure out how to consistently rip DVDs, I'll be a happy woman. OK, a slightly more happy woman.

at B&M, If I were still within the return period with my receipt in hand, I'd do a return/rebuy and get exactly that deal. Online, Amazon does similar stuff quite frequently - there's even software to watch items that you've bought so that you can contact them for price-matches.

I'm not even about a price match in this case - I'd just like the benefits that come with the travel pack!

I seriously, seriously hope one woot-staffer's snide aside about 'who got shafted the worse' along with a bunch of attempted sycophantic shout-downs isn't going to be the end of this.

These refurbs All Come Packaged Just As a New ZUNE 30 would, with all new headphoones, USB cable, packaging etc.

- PodCasts, both Audio and Video, Will be Supported... Fully!

- The box (typically) has one REURBUSHIED sticker on the lower front of the box, and an easily removed REFURBISHED sticker on the back of the player.

- These ZUNE players are fully compatible with the firmware/software upgrades that Microsoft will be releasing 13 Nov 07.

- The aforementioned upgrades are Free Of Charge... Just Sync your player... You're Upgraded!

- The Zune 30 (the one WOOT is selling here) is made of a highly durable/scratch/smudge resistant material, unlike those players from Cupertino that scratch if you look at them the wrong way.

- Zune Players ARE NOT RockBox compatible, and only fully compatible with computers running MS Windows (Xp/Vista)

- ZUNE players are NOT compatible witn iTUNEs or music purchased on iTunes that are DRM protected, though you can burn those songs to a CD and re-rip them to MP3 or WMA, and they will work.

What the heck bro? Woot tries to help out customers. That doesn't mean they can afford to price adjust everytime something lowers in price. Maybe I should demand they give me a $65 discount on my next purchase since I bought a Zune for $150 from them. And come to think about it, they had the Infocus DLPTV for around $900 on the wootoff. I paid $2000 for my 50" about 2 years ago. Maybe they should drop $1000 back into my account since I paid more.

I get that you're upset you maybe didn't get the best deal, but really you had your Zune for 2 months you otherwise wouldn't. If that wasn't worth whatever the price difference was, maybe you should've held off.

If woot can afford dropping the price $30 per 2 units purchased, and throw in a free travel kit, Woot could afford sending us a free travel kit to those who bought 2 Zunes a month ago for the said $30 more. I'm even willing to pay the $5 shipping.

Man, do you get paid extra to be a DICK? This wasn't even in response to my comment but you see to have really treated the folks who have VALID issues like crap.

We wouldn't be complaining if woot didn't have a HISTORY of TRYING to make some things right....

However with my USB headphones that weren't you at least ATTEMPTED to make it right. And what did I do, I wooted quite a bit more. When you over sell and decide to ship part of my order and not even discount/refund the shipping, I let it go. And honestly, I would have been upset about not being taken care of as folks where before on the same item from the same store, but I could have dropped it.

But when Woot's staff comes in here making fun of the loyal customers who are ASKING if anything could be done, THAT does not sit well with me.

I believe that some are becoming rather irritated about all these people asking for WOOT to somehow compensate them for lowing prices, because it's just an unreasonable request, and certainly NOT something that would be ask of say... a Blue Light Special that happened to be offered again at a lower price.

WOOT is Awesome, as are their Prices, but they are in the business of making money, and request like this simply undermine that fact.
