Forgot one thing...the rhoomba will not fall down the stairs-ON PURPOSE. It may fall down on accident though. The Rhoomba has a sensor that stops it from going over ledges if it is headed frontways towards the ledge. But as I have found, if the robot is bumping the wall next to the ledge it can BACK over by accident so it is good to put up the virtual wall just in case. =)

First Woot! Been wanting to grab one of these for awhile now, and this price finally convinced me to buy. Just wondering, since I've never actually bought anything off woot, how long DOES the flat-rate shipping take, on average?

Give it a couple of weeks. Sometimes faster.

I hope I get the burgandy one. I have blues and greys...while they reenact the War of Northern Aggression, the burgundy one could play at being wounded.

I can't believe I bought another!!

I've been wavering on getting one of these for the last two years, but honestly, seems kinda counter-productive. "Clean between cleanings"??????

Also, if you have any rugs, cables, or wires on the floor, you have to first "clean" them out of the way for the Roomba to "clean between cleanings"?? Then, you have to "clean" the roomba, fuugheet it, I'll just sweep or vaccum, much simpler...snort!

By the way, the last woot-off was bogus!!!!!!

But it is not a scheduler and it probably doesn't come with all the goodies.

That link shows a picture from an AD.

This is my very first Woot ever!!! Seems that it was fitting that it was a roomba, a Zune also seems fitting, but i'm an iPod kinda guy. I love woot. keep it up.

I have been wanting to get a Roomba for a while now but I am curious about the charging. Does this model have the base and the automatic charging? I can't find it on the iRobot website.

I have a discovery and i have to say i'm annoyed the batter life has gone way down in the 2 months i've owned it and it no longer docks... it goes to it's dock but it just doesn't make contact anymore... figure i'll have to try to get some warrenty repair from irobot... vry annoying, but for the first month when it was working i loved it.

Not true. I am holding their ad in my hand for Black friday and the one they have is an older red model that has NONE of the advantages of this woot.

See page 11 if you don't believe me

It's been my understanding that "re-furbished" means whatever was broken or faulty was fixed. "Re-manufactured" means that EVERYTHING was replaced. Or so THEY say....bom bom BOMMMMMM!

I might be tempted to get another roomba, on the fact I wanted to get a schedualer and a extra tower. Would cost just as much.

Would it collect small dust particles from a flat (without carpeted) floor ? or is it good only for collecting dog hair and stuff

My first intergalactic robotic roomba ordered from Woot..... woof woof....

Iam only worried about battery life of any rechargeable type NiMh.... nothing lasts for more than 8 months. I wish they had some Roomba with BioDiesel or Ethanol one.... or a hybrid one will work too... (or wish the Toyotas or the Honda made them ;-))

Let the force be with you.

I bought the Sage Roomba and the Scooba back in March during a Woot Off and we love them. We're getting this one for upstairs. This one is a lot cheaper than what we paid for the Sage Roomba.

When we refurbish a machine, we dismantle it, inspect all the parts, and replace any that are non-functional or show signs of wear, extending the machine's life and improving its performance.

A remanufactured machine is one that has had all of its working parts replaced with new ones, returning it to "like-new" condition and performance.

I would check the Roomba Message Board first. I remember reading a few posts about fixing a problem like that. Here is one that may be of help:

The Roomba excels at cleaning on bare floors. It also does a fairly good job on low and medium pile carpet, but it will have a problem with deep pile or carpet with fringe. The newer, 500 series models do better in those environments, but for simple bare floors, any Roomba will do just fine.

For general Roomba questions, I would check the Roomba Message Board before posting it here. Your question has most likely been asked and answered already.

You generally can't, but a quick workaround is to simply create another account with a different e-mail address.
