1) Select "Partition" :
2) Volume Scheme:
pull down, "1 Partition One" Only ONE!!!!!

when a window opens, shows 3 options
Select the one at the bottom:

Mmmm, I am loving this thing. Great audio, easy interface, very solid. I feel good! If you don't have one, they are awesome and would make a great present, too!

Plus, my first buy was Radioheads "In Rainbows" on Amazon for $5.00. Great deal on the album, and great deal on the player! I'm over the moon (and drunk)! Peace!

Got mine today... Alllowed me to hook up and transfer music to it, but when I unplug from USB, it won't power up (when I hit and hold the power). I tried different batteries but still no power up. I can reconnect it to my computer and it will turn on and be read, but when I disconnect, no power.

Anyone else having issues like this? Any help?

Did you get a email with a tracking number? I did, and it was totally right. It went through Fedex. If you don't get it soon, you should contact them.

I had to go to the Sandisk website and download and install the Firmware Update. Mine did the same until I did that. The link is
http://www.sandisk.com/Retail/Default.aspx?CatID=1326
Then you can just drop and drag straight to and from the device.
Hope that helps!

Note: Did not have power up issues, so it might be your item, but who knows?

Received mine earlier this week, and was able to download tunes to it, but when I tried to play them back I kept getting a message saying I needed to update my subscription. I HAVE no subscriptions to anything, these were my personal WMFs and MP3s that I created. Near as I can tell it has something to do with DRM. Finally out of desperation I erased the entire player and copied the folders from my OLDER Sansa 240 to it, that worked like a charm. So just a caveat for those people buying MP3 players, they seem to be getting more and more intrusive on us.

I emailed Woot when my tracking # didn't work, and I still hadn't gotten them. They said "The item shows to have experienced a shipping error and did not get shipped out. We can issue a replacement order as we do have it in stock. Please advise with your complete physical address. Thanks for Wooting!
Riley"

I received my two today (19th).

Were you ever able to fix the power-up problem? I just got my two (late cuz of a shipping error), and both have the same problem.

You can go to the Sandisk website and they have the instruction manuals there. You can download it and print it out.

Screen went black after one week. Unusable-- I suppose I could use it to throw at someone, maybe bean a bill collector in the head. My daughter is pissed at me for buying her a piece of carp birthday gift. "Ya' git whut ya pay fer, I recon"
